Overview
JM-IV abrasion meter is a test instrument of YONGLIDA brand, which is suitable for evaluating the wear resistance performance of various coatings such as deck paint, floor paint, road paint, etc. It is also used to test the Abrasion Resistance of paper, plastic, Spinning & weaving products, decorative boards and other materials. The instrument adopts a stepless speed change design, which can meet different speed requirements, and can select abrasive wheels of different materials according to the sample. It has the characteristics of simple operation and reliable performance.
Features
1. Suitable for wear resistance testing of various Coatings and materials.
2. Adopting a continuously variable speed design, the speed range is 0 to 70 rpm, meeting different testing requirements.
3. Abrasive wheels of different materials can be selected according to different samples.
4. Simple operation and reliable performance.
Principle
The instrument drives the working disc swirl/spin through the motor, so that the specimen fixed on the disc and the abrasive wheels of a specific material are rubbed in surface contact under a certain load (500g, 750g or 1000g), and the abrasion process is simulated by setting the speed and friction times, so as to evaluate the wear resistance of the specimen.
Applications
Coatings wear test (such as nail paint, floor paint, road paint), paper, plastic, Spinning & weaving products, decorative panels
Standards
GB/T15036.2、GB/T15102、GB/T18102、GB/T4893.8、GB/T17657、GB/T1768
Steps
1. Select the appropriate abrasive wheels and friction load (500g, 750g or 1000g) according to the test standard and sample.
2. Fix the specimen on the working plate (sample chassis) of the instrument.
3. Install the selected abrasive wheels and apply the specified load.
4. Set the required working disc speed (adjustable from 0 to 70rpm) and test time or revolutions through the control panel.
5. Start the instrument and start the wear resistance test.
6. After the test, remove the sample and evaluate its abrasion.
Notice
• Before use, make sure that the Power supply voltage is 220V 50Hz, and check whether the instrument is well grounded.
• Depending on the test material, be sure to choose the corresponding standard or applicable abrasive wheels material.
• Install the specimen and abrasive wheels firmly to ensure that the friction contact surface is flat.
• When applying the load, it should be accurate to avoid overloading.
• Do not touch the swirl/spin parts when the instrument is running.
• Regularly clean the instrument, keep the work plate and abrasive wheels clean, so as not to affect the test results.
• Non-professionals should not disassemble or repair the instrument.
