Overview
Polystyrene calibrate blocks are an excellent choice for verifying film thickness gauge accuracy and operation, and are an important part of meeting ISO and internal quality control requirements. Many organizations require that the thickness gauge's Precision be verified at the test site each time a film thickness gauge is put into service, and frequently during use. The DeFelsko-certified Coating thickness standard, with measurements traceable to national Measurement bodies, is well suited for this purpose.
Features
Used to verify the accuracy and operation of any Type 1 (mechanical) and Type 2 (electronic) magnetic, eddy current or ultrasonic film thickness gauge.
2. Suitable for calibrating laboratory, field or factory floor.
3. Standards with steel or aluminum substrates consist of 4 plates mounted in a protective gluing agent.
4. Polystyrene Film thickness standard 4 blocks provided by sturdy acrylic storage box.
5. Serialize individually to trace back to NIST or PTB - including calibrated certificates.
6. Metric and imperial units are both certified and marked.
7. Zero version can be used for certified coated metal sheets and certified polystyrene blocks.
Principle
This product is used as a standard reference for known Film thickness. By measuring the film thickness gauge on the standard block, the measurement result is compared with the certified Film thickness value of the standard block to verify whether the Measurement accuracy and operation of the thickness gauge are normal.
Applications
Film thickness gauge calibrated, quality control, laboratory calibrated, field calibrated
Standards
ISO standards, internal quality control requirements
Steps
1. Place the film thickness gauge probe on the measurement surface of the polystyrene calibrated block.
2. Read the measurement value displayed by the thickness gauge.
3. Compare the measurement with the certified Film thickness value marked on the calibrated block.
4. Determine whether the accuracy of the thickness gauge meets the requirements based on the comparison results.
Notice
• Please keep the calibrated certificate properly to maintain its traceability.
• When using and storing, avoid scratching or contamination of the surface of the calibrated block.
• The calibrated block should be stored in the sturdy acrylic storage box provided to prevent damage.
• Please select the appropriate calibrated block for verification according to the equipment requirements.
• The error range is +/- 0.05%, and this accuracy range needs to be considered when verifying.
