Principle
The coupling agent in the ultrasonic thickness measurement process, is applied between the probe and the surface of the material to be measured, for filling tiny voids, excluding air, as an efficient acoustic transmission medium, to ensure that ultrasonic energy can be effectively transmitted to the measured material with low loss, thereby obtaining accurate Film thickness measurement.
Applications

Steps
1. Clean the surface of the tested material.
2. Apply an appropriate amount GEL_P ultrasonic coupler evenly to the measurement area.
3. Fit the probe of the PosiTector 200 or the PosiTector UTG Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge smoothly to the area coated with the coupler.
4. Take measurements and read data.
5. After the measurement is completed, wipe the probe and the tested surface.
