Overview
The American Defelsko certified SPG standard board STDSPG is used to verify the accuracy and operation of surface profile depth micrometers including the PosiTector SPG and is an important part of meeting ISO and internal quality control requirements.
Features
1. Used to verify the accuracy and operation of the Surface Profile Depth Micrometer.
2. Ideal for use in calibrated laboratories.
3. The standard consists of 4 sapphire test plates, mounted in a precision ground steel base and provided with a hard shell housing.
4. Sapphire test plates are individually serialized and traceable to PTB - including calibrated certificates.
5. Metric and imperial units are both certified and marked.
6. Sample Precision Certificate.
7. Made in the United States.
Principle
As a certified calibrating standard, the product includes four sapphire test plates with specific depth values to provide a known, traceable reference depth value for the Surface Profile Depth Micrometer to verify the accuracy and operation of the measuring instrument.
Applications
Calibrating laboratory, surface profile measuring instrument calibrating, industrial quality control
Steps
1. Place the probe of the surface profile depth Micrometer (such as PosiTector SPG) to be calibrated on the four sapphire test plates of the STDSPG standard plate for measurement.
2. Compare the measurement reading of the Micrometer with the known depth values calibrated on the standard plate (0 μm, 50 μm, 175 μm, 500 μm).
3. According to the comparison results, determine whether the Measurement accuracy of the Micrometer meets the requirements, or make necessary calibrating adjustments.
Notice
* Please confirm the valid period of the standard board and attached certificate before use.
* Handle with care during operation to avoid bumping or scratching the sapphire test plate and precision grinding base.
* After use, it should be properly stored in the hard shell provided to maintain its accuracy.
* The calibrated certificate is an important document for product traceability, please keep it safe.
* The accuracy of this standard plate is +/- 0.74 μm (+/- 0.03 mils), and this accuracy range should be considered when calibrating.
