Overview
Testex Press-O-Film HT asperity replication tape, commonly known as anchor paper, rubbing paper, is used to measure the asperity of sand blasting or shot peening treated surfaces. The tape consists of polyester film and compressible film coatings. Measurement range is 1.5 to 4.5 mils (40 to 115 microns). Each roll of tape is marked with a manufacturing code and date for traceability and can be stored for a long time in a clean drying environment.
Features
1. Using polyester film and compressible film coating structure.
Measurement range from 1.5 to 4.5 mils (40 to 115 microns).
3. Each roll of tape is labeled with the manufacturing code and date for easy tracking.
4. It can be stored for a long time in a suitable environment.
Principle
The product uses a profiling method to measure surface roughness. First, a copy tape is used to replicate an "impression" on a sand blasting or shot peening surface, which reflects the asperity profile of the substrate surface. Subsequently, the peak and valley heights of this impression are measured using a special Roughometer to obtain the asperity value of the replicated surface.
Applications
Sand blasting surface roughness measurement, shot peening surface roughness measurement
Steps
1. Press the asperity replication tape on the sand blasting or shot peening surface to be tested to copy the "impression" of the surface profile.
2. Use a special Roughometer to measure the copied impression.
3. Read the peak and valley height data displayed by the measurement instrument, which is the asperity value of the measured surface.
Notice
* Tape should be kept in a relatively clean, drying environment.
* Avoid tape exposure to environments above 120 degrees Fahrenheit (50 degrees Celsius) to prevent performance degradation.
* Avoid tape exposure to environments above 140 degrees Fahrenheit (60 degrees Celsius) to prevent reduced replication effects.
* Tape should be kept away from petroleum products to avoid degradation.
