Overview
The Defelsko DOLLY10 spindle is an important part of the PosiTestAT series of pull adhesion meters, with a diameter of 10mm and a starting pressure of 2.8MPa, suitable for adhesion testing of different strengths. This product is usually available in groups of 10.
Features
1. Specially designed for PosiTestAT pull adhesion instrument, good compatibility.
2. Available in a variety of sizes, the 10mm size is suitable for higher-intensity testing.
3. Clear starting pressure and maximum drawing pressure parameters for easy test planning.
4. According to the instrument model (AT-M/AT-A), there is a corresponding maximum pressure value, which is highly adaptable.
Principle
The DOLLY10 spindle is used as a force-applying part for the pull test and is fixed to the surface of the coating or substrate by a special Adhesive during the test. When the PosiTestAT instrument is working, hydraulic or mechanical forces are applied vertically to the test point through the spindle until the coating is pulled off, thus measuring its adhesion strength.
Applications
Coating adhesion testing, construction engineering mass assessment, industrial anti-corrosion coating testing, aerospace coating inspection, automotive painting quality control
Standards
ASTM D4541、ISO 4624
Steps
1. Clean and prepare the coating surface to be tested.
2. Use a special Adhesive to firmly adhere the DOLLY10 spindle to the test point.
3. After Adhesive is completely cured, align the PosiTestAT puller with the spindle and connect it.
4. Start the instrument and apply the pulling force at a uniform rate.
5. Record the maximum drawing force value when the coating fails.
6. Calculate the adhesion strength according to the cross-sectional area of the spindle.
Notice
• Make sure the spindle and test surface are clean and drying before use.
• Adhesive must be used as specified and tested after complete curing.
When selecting the spindle size, refer to its maximum pulling pressure to ensure that it does not exceed the range of the instrument and spindle.
• After the test, the spindle should be properly cleaned for the next use.
• Operation should comply with relevant safety regulations to avoid harm to personnel or samples.
