Overview
The Defelsko DOLLY14 spindle is an important part of the PosiTestAT series of drawing adhesion meters, with a diameter of 14mm and a starting pressure of 1.4MPa, suitable for specific drawing strength test ranges.
Features
1. Specially designed for PosiTestAT pull adhesion instrument to ensure compatibility and test accuracy.
2. A variety of sizes are available, with different sizes corresponding to different pressure-bearing capacities to meet diverse testing requirements.
3. The DOLLY14 model is 14mm in size and has clear starting pressure and maximum drawing pressure parameters.
4. Product Encasement usually contains a certain number (such as 10), which is convenient for testing and replacement.
Principle
The spindle, as the core force component of the pull-out Adhesion Tester, is fixed with the coating or adhesive material during testing. When the instrument applies a pull-out force, the force is transmitted to the test surface through the spindle until the material is peeling, so as to measure its adhesion strength. The 14mm spindle needs to start working effectively after reaching the starting pressure of 1.4MPa.
Applications
Coating adhesion test, adhesive strength test, bonding performance evaluation of building materials
Standards
ASTM D4541、ISO 4624
Steps
1. According to the estimated adhesion strength of the material to be tested, choose the appropriate spindle size (such as 14mm).
2. Use special Adhesive to firmly paste the DOLLY14 spindle on the coating or adhesive surface to be tested.
3. After Adhesive is completely cured, align the fixture of PosiTestAT drawing adhesion instrument with the spindle and connect it to fix.
4. Start the instrument and apply the pulling force evenly until the test surface is peeling or reaches a predetermined pressure.
5. Record the maximum pulling force value displayed by the instrument and convert it to adhesion strength (MPa or psi) according to the spindle area.
6. After the test is completed, clean the spindle and test surface for the next use.
Notice
• Before selecting the spindle size, be sure to refer to the drawing strength table to ensure that the test pressure is within the spindle's range (e.g. DOLLY14 is 1.4~ 40MPa) to avoid over-range use.
• When pasting the spindle, ensure that the Adhesive is evenly applied, free of bubbles, and the spindle is fully fitted with the test surface to ensure uniform force and accurate test results.
• Adhesive curing time and conditions must strictly adhere to its product instructions, incomplete curing may lead to test failure or inaccurate data.
• When operating the instrument to apply pulling force, a uniform and vertical pulling force should be maintained to avoid lateral force or Impact force.
• Regularly check the spindle for abrasion, deformation or residual Adhesive, damaged spindle should be replaced in time.
Test results should be interpreted and evaluated in accordance with relevant standards such as ASTM D4541.
