Overview
The Defelsko DOLLY20 spindle is an important accessory of the PosiTestAT drawing adhesion instrument, with a size of 20mm, a starting pressure of 0.7MPa, and a range of 0.7~ 24MPa.
Features
1. As a key accessory of PosiTestAT pull adhesion instrument.
2. A variety of sizes are available, and different sizes correspond to different drawing strengths.
3.20Mm size model, starting pressure as low as 0.7MPa.
4. Standard Encasement contains 10 spindles.
Principle
The DOLLY20 spindle is used in conjunction with the PosiTestAT drawing adhesion instrument to adhere the spindle to the surface of the coating or substrate by applying hydraulic pressure, and perform a vertical drawing test to measure the adhesion strength between the coating and the substrate.
Applications
Coating adhesion testing, anti-corrosion engineering testing, construction engineering mass assessment, industrial maintenance testing
Standards
ASTM D4541、ISO 4624、ASTM D7234
Steps
1. Clean and prepare the coating surface to be tested.
Adhesive the DOLLY20 spindle to the test area using a dedicated Adhesive.
3. Adhesive completely curing.
4. Align and connect the test head of the PosiTestAT pull adhesion instrument with the spindle.
5. Start the instrument and apply hydraulic tension smoothly until the coating peeling or reaches the preset value.
6. Record the maximum pressure value displayed by the instrument during the drawing process.
7. Clean the test area and spindle for next use.
Notice
• When selecting the spindle size, refer to the spindle drawing strength table for matching according to the estimated coating adhesion strength.
• Ensure that the Adhesive used between the spindle and the test surface is completely cured to ensure the accuracy of the test results.
• When operating the instrument, the tension should be applied smoothly to avoid Impact loads.
• After the test, the residual Adhesive on the surface of the spindle should be cleaned in time.
• Do not exceed the maximum drawing pressure specified by the spindle (for 20mm spindles, the maximum is 20MPa with AT-M type instruments, and the maximum is 24MPa with AT-A type instruments).
