Overview
The Defelsko DOLLY50 spindle is an important accessory of the PosiTestAT pull adhesion instrument. The size is 50mm, the starting pressure is 0.4MPa, and the range is 0.4~ 3.8MPa. The product is usually provided in a group of 4, and users can choose different sizes of spindles according to different test strength requirements.
Features
1. As a key accessory of the PosiTestAT pull adhesion instrument, ensure the smooth progress of the test.
2. Available in a variety of sizes to meet different maximum pull strength requirements.
3. The DOLLY50 model is 50mm in size and has a clear starting pressure and range.
4. Product specifications are clear, making it easy for users to choose and operate according to their testing requirements.
Principle
The DOLLY50 spindle acts as the test execution part of the PosiTestAT pull adhesion instrument, and applies hydraulic pressure through the instrument during the test. When the pressure reaches the starting pressure of the spindle (0.4MPa), the spindle starts to work and transfers the tensile force to the coating or adhesive layer under test until it reaches its maximum pressure (3.5MPa or 3.8MPa, depending on the instrument model), thus completing the measurement of the pull strength.
Applications
Coating adhesion test, adhesive strength test
Standards
ASTM D4541、ISO 4624
Steps
1. According to the expected drawing strength, choose the appropriate spindle size (e.g. 50mm DOLLY50).
2. Install the spindle correctly onto the PosiTestAT adhesion meter.
3. Adhesive the spindle to the surface of the coating to be tested using a special Adhesive.
4. After Adhesive is completely cured, start the PosiTestAT instrument for pulling test.
5. The instrument applies pressure and records the pressure value when the coating is pulled off, which is the adhesion strength.
Notice
When selecting the spindle size, refer to its maximum drawing pressure to ensure that its range covers the expected strength of the sample to be tested.
Before use, check whether the spindle is clean, intact, and free from deformation or damage.
* When adhering the spindle to the test surface, ensure that Adhesive is applied evenly and completely covers the contact surface, and wait strictly according to the curing time of Adhesive.
* When operating the instrument, apply pressure smoothly to avoid Impact loads.
After the test is completed, the spindles and instruments should be properly cleaned and maintained.
Spindles of different sizes (e.g. 10mm, 14mm, 20mm, 50mm) correspond to different starting pressures and maximum pressures, please choose according to actual needs.
