Overview
The American Defelsko base zero plate is a precision machined steel (1018 steel) or aluminum (6061-T6) plate without coatings, which is mainly used for zero-point calibrating and verification with Coating thickness gauges, and provides a substrate for specific measurement scenarios.
Features
1. Made of precision machined 1018 steel or 6061-T6 aluminum, the surface has no coating.
2. Specially designed to calibrate with Coating thickness gauge to ensure accurate measurement of zero point.
3. Can be used as a measurement substrate for the measurement of large materials without substrates or difficult to contact.
Principle
The base zero plate itself does not produce a measurement signal. Its core function is to provide a known, coatings-free reference plane. When using a Coating thickness gauge with magnetic Induction or eddy current principles, measurements are first made on the zero plate to verify or adjust the zero point reading of the instrument. After adjusting to zero, the instrument can obtain an accurate Film thickness value when measuring the actual coating sample. In addition, it can also be used as a physical support substrate to carry plastic gaskets, polystyrene blocks or Miscellaneous materials for measurement by the thickness gauge.
Applications
Coating thickness gauge zero point calibrating and verification, Plastic film and polystyrene block Film thickness verification, Film thickness measurement of large-scale materials without substrates (such as paper, plastic, fabric, rubber), Screen printing industry Substrate Film thickness measurement
Steps
1. Place the base zero board on a flat, stable surface.
2. Open the Coating thickness gauge and place the probe vertically on the surface of the zero plate for the first measurement.
3. Observation reading: If the instrument display is not zero, follow the instrument operating instructions to make "zero" adjustments on the zero board.
4. After zero calibrating, place the calibration plate, plastic gasket or material to be tested on the zero plate for measurement.
Notice
• Before use, please ensure that the surface of the zero plate is clean, scratch-free and oil-free, so as not to affect the measurement accuracy.
• When performing zero-point calibrating, the probe needs to contact the surface of the zero plate vertically and smoothly.
• Zero plate is only used for instrument zero point calibrating and as a measurement substrate, it does not have the standard value of Film thickness itself, and cannot replace the coating calibrated standard film for instrument calibrating.
• Please select the corresponding steel or aluminum plate according to the thickness gauge type (magnetic or eddy current).
• Keep it safe to avoid drops or collisions and prevent damage to its delicate surfaces.
