Overview
DJH-G (STEP) Electrolytic Thickness Gauge is a professional measuring instrument of COATTEST INSTRUMENT brand, mainly used for the measurement of platings thickness and multi-layer nickel potential difference. The instrument is suitable for a variety of plating types and substrates, supports single-layer and composite multi-layer platings measurement, and can display the test Linear dispersion in real time through computer Connectivity.
Features
1. A variety of plating types can be measured, including Cr, Ni, Cu, Zn, Sn, Ag, Au, Cd, Co, In, Pb and other single metal platings, composite platings and alloy platings.
2. Wide range of platings substrate, basically unrestricted, including metal, Non-metallic, NdFeB and so on.
3. Support single-layer and composite multi-layer platings measurement.
4. Provide a variety of test size options, standard configuration is φ 2.4mm and φ 1.7mm, optional φ 1.2mm, φ 1.0mm, φ 0.8mm.
5. Flexible data processing, Connectivity computer real-time display thickness and potential changes Linear dispersion, single machine instrument LCD display thickness and potential value.
6. Measurement range is wide, 0~ 300μm, the best use range is 0.03~ 75μm.
7. High Accuracy measurement, Indication Error ≤ +/- 10%, reproducibility ≤ 5%, thickness resolution 0.01μm, potential resolution 0.01mv.
Principle
Electrolytic Thickness Gauge measures platings thickness and potential difference by electrolysis method. During the test, the instrument performs electrolysis on the platings, monitors the thickness and potential changes in real time, and displays the data Linear dispersion and value through the computer or instrument display screen to accurately evaluate platings performance.
Applications
Automobile Motorcycle Industry, Aerospace and Marine Industry, Bicycle Industry, Electronics Industry, Daily Hardware Industry, Sanitary Ware Industry, Plastic Eletroplating Industry, Neodymium-Iron-Boron Industry, Standard Parts Industry, Technical Supervision Department, Scientific Research Institutions
Steps
1. Prepare the instrument and computer (optional, Windows Simplified Chinese Operating system is required, such as XP, WIN7, WIN8, WIN10).
Select the appropriate test size (e.g., φ 2.4mm or φ 1.7mm).
3. Attach the instrument to the platings sample.
4. Start the test and the instrument starts the electrolysis process.
5. Observe the real-time thickness and potential changes on the computer monitor during Connectivity Linear dispersion; check the thickness and potential values displayed on the instrument LCD screen when standing alone.
6. Record test results (note: stand-alone test results cannot be stored).
Notice
• The computer package can be provided by the manufacturer or by the customer, but the Windows Simplified Chinese Operating system must be used (XP, WIN7, WIN8, WIN10 are not limited).
• Measurement range is preferably 0.03~ 75μm, and the error will gradually increase when it exceeds 75μm.
• During stand-alone testing, the test results cannot be stored and must be recorded in time.
• Ensure that the test environment meets the operating requirements of the instrument to avoid interfering with the Measurement accuracy.
