Overview
The LENETA T12G hiding power (metal) panel is a test tool for detecting Coating inks hiding power performance, levelling sag, and calculating Coating application cost. The panel is 76x132mm in size and has a top white and bottom black surface, conforming to ASTM D6441.
Features
1. The surface adopts the upper white and lower black half style, which is convenient for clear observation of the covering effect.
2. In line with ASTM D6441 international standards, the test results are reliable.
3. Metal panel, good durability.
4. The standard aperture is 6mm, making it easy to test.
Principle
The hiding power performance of the coating is evaluated by observing the ability of the coating to mask the underlying Color by placing the Coating or inks Spreader to be tested on a metal panel with black and white contrasting color blocks. At the same time, the Spreader process can also be used to observe the leveling and sagging of the Coating.
Applications
Coating performance test, inks performance test, hiding power measurement, levelling sag evaluation
Steps
1. Prepare samples of Coatings or inks to be tested.
2. Spreader the sample in the black and white junction area of the T12G hiding power metal panel.
3. Observe and evaluate the degree to which the coating covers the black area.
4. Calculate the hiding power of Coating and related application costs according to the test results.
Notice
• Before use, make sure that the surface of the panel is clean, drying and free of contamination.
• Spreader samples should be uniform to ensure the accuracy of test results.
• Please clean the panel in time after the test to avoid residues affecting subsequent use.
• Please follow the relevant standards (e.g. ASTM D6441) for operation and result determination.
