Overview

The shakeout tester (brand: PUSHEN, model: LS) is used to test the Abrasion Resistance of organic coatings under standard conditions. The device evaluates the abrasion resistance of coatings by dropping the abrasive from a specified height onto the painting plate until the substrate is exposed.

Features

1. Designed and manufactured according to ASTM standards, easy to operate; 2. Equipped with a switch to control sand flow; 3. The sand box is at a 45-degree angle to the vertical position, which is convenient for placing the test plate; 4. There are clamps on both sides of the sand box for tightening the test plate; 5. The lower part of the instrument is equipped with a high and low adjustment nut, which can adjust the distance from the pipe to the painted surface; 6. There are adjustment screws at the bottom to adjust the center position of the sand flow.

Principle

When testing the coating Abrasion Resistance, the abrasive falls from the specified height to the painted test plate through the conduit, and continues to sand until the test plate substrate is exposed. The abrasion resistance of the coating is represented by calculating the abrasion amount of the abrasion unit film thickness.
