Overview
The JINGKELIAN MFT MMFT meter is a professional test instrument designed by Benchtop to determine the minimum film forming temperature (MFFT) of emulsions or coatings. It is designed with a professional layered plate, is compact in size, and is equipped with an automatic water break protection system. The instrument table is wide, and 6 sets of samples can be measured simultaneously to ensure experimental efficiency.
Features
1. Benchtop machine design saves space.
2, professional layered board design, effectively reduce the volume of the instrument.
3. The surface temperature is accurately calibrated and matched with the temperature scale to ensure that the measurement data is accurate and reliable.
4. Equipped with an automatic water cut-off protection system.
5, the width of the table is large, and 6 sets of samples can be measured simultaneously.
Principle
The instrument works through a metal plate (layer plate) with a temperature layer. One end of the layer plate is cooled and the other end is heated, so that a linear temperature field from low temperature to high temperature is formed on its surface. The test emulsion Spreader is placed in a test slot on the surface of the layer plate, and its minimum film forming temperature (MFFT) is determined by observing how the emulsion forms a continuous, transparent film in different temperature regions.
Applications
Emulsions, coatings
Steps
1. Place the instrument in an environment that meets the requirements and connect the power supply and water source.
2. Set the cooling and heating parameters as needed to form the required temperature layer.
3. To clean the workbench, consider covering it with aluminum foil for subsequent cleaning.
4. The emulsion Spreader to be tested is in the test tank of the layered plate, and it is recommended that at least one known material of the Spreader be used as a control.
5. Observe and record the film formation of emulsion in different temperature areas to determine the minimum film forming temperature (MFFT).
6. After the test is completed, clean the workbench.
Notice
* The instrument should be placed in a ventilated, bright, no direct sunlight, no vibration, temperature 23 +/- 2 ℃, relative humidity < 85% of the laboratory, pay attention to moisture, when not covered with plastic cover.
* Power requirements: 220V, 50Hz, Power > 400W, Three hole socket with good grounding is required.
Water source requirements: Use pure tap water free of impurities and keep the water flowing smoothly.
* Reasonable setting of cooling and heating parameters to minimize the difference between heat and cold to save energy and improve resolution.
The workbench should be cleaned before and after use, and can be coated with grease or Vaseline to prevent rust when left for a long time.
* Spreader emulsion, it is recommended to include at least one known material as a control.
* Spreader emulsion does not have to be coated throughout the test tank, it can be applied near the estimated minimum film forming temperature (MFFT).
* Spreader and cleaning, can be placed on the left and right edge of the layer board, to prevent soiling the table.
For easy cleaning, cover the surface of the board with a thin layer of aluminum foil (e.g. 0.02mm thick), brush it flat and drop a few drops of glycerin to make it tightly bonded to the board surface.
* The use of calcium chloride (CaCl2) as a drying agent is better.
