Overview
JINGKELIAN LR-2 asphalt softening point tester is a special instrument for measuring the softening point of various asphalts (including viscous petroleum asphalt, viscous shale asphalt and soft coal asphalt after distillation test, etc.). The instrument is suitable for the determination and experimental research of asphalt softening point in industrial and mining enterprises, scientific research institutions and laboratories.
Features
1. Adopt standard copper ring and steel ball design to ensure test accuracy.
2. Equipped with a ring frame structure, including a middle-layer orifice plate and a lower-layer plate, the distance is precisely 25.4mm.
3. The volume of the glass is 600 mm, the Mass range of the steel ball is 3.45-3.55 grams, and the diameter of the steel ball is 9.53 mm.
Principle
The instrument arranges the asphalt test piece in a copper ring of specified size, places a steel ball of specified weight and size on the test piece, and then heats the test piece at a standard speed. When the test piece is softened, the temperature when the steel ball falls to the specified height is the softening point, expressed in ° C. The ring is equipped with a water surface height marking line to ensure that the experimental conditions are consistent.
Applications
Industrial and mining enterprises, scientific research institutions, laboratories
Steps
1. Place the copper ring on the corresponding hole in the middle hole plate.
2. Place the asphalt specimen in the copper ring.
3. Place a steel ball on the specimen and use a steel ball positioning ring to locate it.
4. Heat the specimen at standard speed and observe the falling of the steel ball.
5. Record the temperature when the ball falls to the specified height as a softening point.
Notice
• Ensure that copper rings and steel balls meet specifications.
During the heating process, it is necessary to control the speed to avoid being too fast or too slow.
• Check the water surface height marking line of the ring frame before the experiment.
• Clean the instrument in time after use to prevent residues from affecting the accuracy.
