Overview
The JFL NDJ-1 Rotational Viscometer is a pointer viscosity measurement instrument for the determination of viscosity and rheology in various fluids and semifluids.
Features
1. Pointer display, intuitive reading.
2. Wide viscosity measurement range, up to 1000000mPa · s.
3. Equipped with 1 #, 2 #, 3 #, 4 #four rotors to adapt to different viscosity samples.
4. Measurement accuracy of +/- 5% F.S.
Principle
The Viscometer operates on the principle of swirl/spin. The motor drives the rotor to swirl/spin at a uniform speed in the liquid under test. The viscous resistance to the rotor is proportional to the viscosity of the liquid. This resistance is measured and converted into a pointer deflection angle to indicate the viscosity value of the liquid.
Applications
Suitable for the determination of mineral oil, lubricating oil, gluing agent, paints, dyestuff, inks dynamic viscosity, structural viscosity, etc.
Steps
1. Choose the appropriate rotor according to the estimated viscosity.
2. Install the rotor and adjust the instrument level.
3. Immerse the rotor into the sample to be tested to the specified scale line.
4. Start the motor and read the viscosity value after the pointer is stable.
5. Turn off the power after the measurement is completed and clean the rotor.
Notice
Make sure the instrument is level before use.
• Select the appropriate rotor model according to the sample viscosity range.
• The depth of the rotor immersed in the liquid must meet the specified requirements.
• During measurement, the reading should be made after the pointer is stable.
• After use, the rotor should be cleaned in time to prevent the sample residue from affecting the subsequent Measurement accuracy.
• Instruments should be stored in a drying, non-corrosive gas environment.
