Overview
JFL NDJ-4 Rotational Viscometer is a pointer viscosity measurement instrument for the determination of viscosity and rheology of various fluids and semi-fluids. Measurement range is 10~ 2000000mPa · s.
Features
1. Pointer display, intuitive reading.
2. Wide viscosity measurement range, up to 10~ 2000000mPa · s.
3. Equipped with four types of rotors (1 #, 2 #, 3 #, 4 #).
4. Provide eight-speed adjustable speed (0.3, 0.6, 1.5, 3, 6, 12, 30, 60rpm).
Measurement accuracy of +/- 5% F.S.
Principle
The Viscometer operates on the principle of swirl/spin. The motor drives the rotor to swirl/spin at a constant speed in the liquid under test, and the rotor is subjected to viscous resistance of the liquid to form a resistance moment. This resistance moment is converted by the measurement system into the deflection angle of the pointer, which indicates the viscosity value of the liquid.
Applications
Suitable for the determination of mineral oil, lubricating oil, gluing agent, paints, dyestuff, inks dynamic viscosity, structural viscosity, etc.
Steps
1. Choose the appropriate rotor and speed combination according to the estimated viscosity value.
2. Install the rotor on the instrument connector.
3. Immerse the rotor into the sample to be tested to the specified marking line.
4. Turn on the power, select and start the set speed.
5. After the pointer is stable, read and record the viscosity value.
6. After the measurement is completed, turn off the power and clean the rotor.
Notice
• Please ensure that the instrument is placed horizontally before use.
• When selecting the rotor and speed, the pointer reading should be between 20 and 90 grids on the dial to ensure Measurement accuracy.
• The depth of the rotor immersion in the liquid should be accurate to avoid touching the walls and bottom of the container.
The sample temperature should be kept constant during the measurement process.
• The instrument uses a power supply of 220V +/- 10% 50Hz AC.
• The rotor should be cleaned in time after use to prevent sample residue from affecting subsequent measurement.
• Avoid severe vibration during handling and storage.
