Overview
The JFL NDJ-79 Rotational Viscometer is suitable for laboratory and factory measurement of dynamic viscosity of Newtonian liquids and apparent viscosity of non-Newtonian liquids. The rheological characteristics of non-Newtonian liquids can also be measured by customizing a special drum. The instrument is small, light weight, easy to use, simple to maintain and durable, and can quickly and reliably determine the viscosity of liquids.
Features
1. Measurement range, viscosity range 1~ 1000000mPa · s.
2. Rotor speed is optional, providing 7.5/75/750rpm three gears.
3. The instrument is small in size, light in weight, easy to use and maintain.
4. Durable, fast and reliable measurement.
Principle
The rotor swirl/spin is driven by a motor at a constant speed in the liquid to be measured. The rotor swirl/spin is subjected to a viscous resistance of the liquid, which is proportional to the viscosity of the liquid. The instrument displays by measuring this resistance moment and converting it into a viscosity value.
Applications
Petroleum, Resin, paints, paste, cosmetics, cream, asphalt
Standards
Measurement accuracy : +/- 5% F.S
Steps
1. Choose the appropriate rotor and speed combination according to the estimated viscosity.
2. Install the rotor and inject the sample into the measurement vessel to the specified scale.
3. Slowly immerse the rotor into the sample to a specified depth.
4. Turn on the power supply and select the desired speed to start the motor.
5. After the reading stabilizes, record the displayed viscosity value.
6. After the measurement is completed, turn off the power and clean the rotor and measurement container.
Notice
• Please ensure that the instrument is placed horizontally before use.
• When selecting the rotor and speed, the measurement value should be within 20% to 90% of the range to ensure accuracy.
• Avoid bubbles when immersing the rotor and ensure that the rotor is in the center of the container.
• When measuring non-newtonian fluids, pay attention to the effect of shear rate (rotational speed) on apparent viscosity.
• The power supply of the instrument is 220V +/- 10% 50Hz AC, please ensure that the voltage meets the requirements.
• After use, the rotor and measurement parts should be cleaned in time to prevent the sample residue from affecting the subsequent measurement.
• When not in use for a long time, it should be properly stored in a drying environment.
