Overview
The hydrophobicity tester for thermal insulation materials is a professional testing instrument used to detect the hydrophobicity test of perlite, mineral wool, polystyrene foam, rigid polyurethane foam and other thermal insulation products.
Features
1. The specimen angle is fixed at a 45 ° angle.
2. Flow rate range is wide, 10~ 100L/h.
3. Flow rate accuracy is 2.5.
4. The convex metal nozzle is used, with a total of 19 holes and an aperture of 0.9mm.
5. Applicable to the standard sample size of 300mm x 150mm, the sample affected area is 148mm.
Principle
The sample is placed at a 45 ° angle with the horizontal, the center of the sample is located at a given position below the nozzle, and the sample is sprayed with water at a certain Flow rate for a predetermined time. By measuring the change in the mass of the sample before and after spraying, the volume percentage of the impervious part of the sample is calculated.
Applications
Hydrophobicity detection of perlite, mineral wool, polystyrene foam, rigid polyurethane foam and other thermal insulation products
Steps
1. Place the specimen at the specified position at a 45 ° angle.
2. Adjust the spray Flow rate to the desired value.
3. Start the spray and spray the center area of the sample for a specified time.
4. After the spray, measure and record the sample mass change.
5. Calculate the volume percentage of the impervious part of the sample according to the mass change.
Notice
• Please ensure that the instrument is placed horizontally before use.
• Before spraying, calibrate Flow rate meter to ensure accurate flow rate.
The sample size should meet the requirements of 300mm x 150mm, and ensure that the exposed area is 148mm.
• During the spraying process, make sure that the center of the sample is facing the specified position below the nozzle.
• After the test, please clean the instrument in time to prevent water stains from remaining.
• Do not use corrosive liquids for spray tests.
