Overview
The PUSHEN DIN cup is a Benchtop viscosity cup, model DIN2, with a pore size of 2mm. It is designed according to the German Standardization Committee DIN53211 standard for measuring the viscosity of inks, coatings, paints and other liquids. The model has a capacity of 100ml and uses anodic oxidation aluminum cup body and stainless steel nozzle, which has good corrosion resistance.
Features
1. Designed and produced according to the German DIN53211 standard.
2. Provide a variety of models of No. 2, No. 4, No. 6, and No. 8, corresponding to different pore sizes (2mm, 4mm, 6mm, 8mm), suitable for different viscosity ranges.
3. Adopt stainless steel nozzle and anodic oxidation aluminum cup body, corrosion resistance.
4. The test method is simple and used for the relative measurement and classification of viscosity.
Principle
Benchtop DIN cups measure the viscosity of a volume of liquid (100ml) by measuring the time it takes for it to flow out of a standard nozzle (aperture 2mm). The flow time (seconds) can be used directly for viscosity grading or converted into kinematic viscosity units centistokes (cSt). The viscosity of a liquid is its ability to hinder flow.
Applications
Tack determination of inks, paints, etc
Steps
1. Prepare PUSHEN No. 2 DIN Cup and High Accuracy stopwatch.
2. Inject the liquid to be tested into the cup until it is full (capacity 100ml).
3. Start the stopwatch at the moment when the liquid starts to flow out of the nozzle (aperture 2mm).
4. Stop the stopwatch at the moment when the liquid flows out and record the time (seconds) required for the flow to complete.
5. Evaluate viscosity or perform unit conversion based on flow time.
Notice
• When using the PUSHEN No. 2 DIN cup, a stopwatch with high accuracy is required for timing.
