Overview
The PUSHEN DIN4 is a Benchtop viscosity cup designed according to the German standard DIN 53211 for measuring the viscosity of inks, coatings, paints and other liquids. This model corresponds to the 4mm measurement aperture and is suitable for the viscosity range of 96~ 683cSt. The anodic oxidation aluminum cup body and stainless steel nozzle have good corrosion resistance.
Features
It meets the German DIN 53211 standard.
2. Provide No. 2, No. 4, No. 6, and No. 8 models, corresponding to different aperture sizes (2mm, 4mm, 6mm, 8mm), covering different viscosity ranges.
3. Adopt stainless steel nozzle and anodic oxidation aluminum cup body material, corrosion resistance.
4. The measurement is relatively simple, the viscosity is determined by the liquid flow time.
Principle
The kinematic viscosity of a DIN cup is determined by the measurement of the time (seconds) for a volume of liquid (100ml) to completely flow out of a standard nozzle (pore size 4mm). The longer the flow time, the higher the viscosity of the liquid. The measured seconds can be used directly for viscosity grading or converted to centimeters (cSt) units by using a scaler.
Applications
Tack determination of inks, paints, etc
Steps
1. Prepare a stopwatch with high accuracy.
2. Inject the liquid to be tested into the DIN cup to its full capacity (100ml).
3. Start the stopwatch the moment the liquid starts to flow out of the nozzle.
4. Stop the stopwatch at the moment of the first interruption of the liquid flow beam and record the time (seconds) required for the flow to complete.
Notice
• A stopwatch with high accuracy is required when using it.
• The measurement result (outflow time) should be in the range of 20 to 110 seconds to ensure accuracy.
• Be careful to keep the nozzle clean to avoid blockage or residue affecting the measurement.
• According to the estimated viscosity range of the liquid to be tested, choose the appropriate DIN cup model (e.g. DIN4 cup is suitable for 96~ 683cSt).
