Overview
The PUSHEN DIN cup is a Benchtop viscosity cup, model DIN6, used for the determination of inks, coatings, paints, etc. Its production design is based on the German standard DIN 53211, with a stainless steel nozzle and anodic oxidation aluminum cup body, which has good corrosion resistance. This model corresponds to a measurement aperture of 6mm and a capacity of 100ml.
Features
1. Designed according to the German Standardization Committee DIN 53211.
2. Provide a variety of models (No. 2, No. 4, No. 6, No. 8), corresponding to different pore sizes, suitable for different viscosity ranges.
3. Adopt stainless steel nozzle and anodic oxidation aluminum cup body material, good corrosion resistance.
4. Simple test method for relative measurement and viscosity grading.
Principle
Benchtop DIN cups measure the viscosity of a volume of liquid (e.g. inks, coatings) by measuring the time it takes for it to flow through a standard nozzle (aperture 6mm). The time to flow (seconds) can be directly expressed as viscosity, or it can be converted to a kinematic viscosity unit cSt by using a scaler.
Applications
Tack determination of inks, paints, etc
Steps
1. Prepare the liquid to be tested and the PUSHEN DIN6 viscosity cup.
2. Need a stopwatch with high accuracy.
3. Allow the liquid to flow through the nozzle and measure the time required to flow through the 100ml capacity.
Notice
• A stopwatch with high accuracy is required when using it.
