Overview
Form 26-2M is a LENETA-branded wall-facing Gloss-free cardboard with a white and grey design. It is white on the top and bottom, grey in the middle, and measures 28 x 40 inches (711 x 1046 mm) overall. The cardboard is coated with a flat finish similar to the texture of a typical trade-selling flat wall paint. It has good surface "teeth". It is easy to brush or roller painting and is not easy to slip. The surface is well sealed and can be applied to both water-based and solvent-based paints, effectively preventing the penetration of the carrier.
Features
1. Two-color design: the top and bottom are white, and the middle part is gray for easy comparison and observation.
2. Professional finish: coated with non-Gloss flat finish, simulating the texture and "teeth" of a typical wall finish coating.
3. Construction friendly: support brushing or roller painting, it is not easy to appear surface "slipping" phenomenon during the coating process.
4. Strong compatibility: good surface sealing, can be applied to both water-based and solvent-based coatings to prevent penetration.
5. Clear specifications: Provide accurate size, reflectance and Glossiness parameters to ensure test conformity.
Principle
The cardboard serves as a standardized test substrate, and its Gloss-free plane finish mimics the texture and surface properties (i.e. "teeth") of a real wall finish coating. When the paint is applied to it by brushing or roller painting, this surface energy provides appropriate adhesion, prevents "slippage" during construction, and ensures uniform paint distribution. Its good sealing prevents the paint carrier (whether aqueous or solvent) from penetrating into the substrate, thus accurately reflecting the hiding power, Color, leveling and final Appearance performance of the paint on the real wall.
Applications
Paint performance test, wall finish coating evaluation, construction technology research, Color contrast analysis, hiding power test
Steps
1. Prepare Form 26-2M wall without Gloss cardboard to ensure that the surface is clean and dust-free.
2. Select the water-based or solvent-based coating to be tested and mix well.
3. Using a brush or roller, apply the paint evenly to the surface of the cardboard by brushing or roller painting.
4. During the coating process, pay attention to observe the levelling, adhesion and "slipping" of the paint on the cardboard.
5. After the paint is through drying, evaluate its hiding power, Color, Glossiness and surface effect under Standard light source.
Notice
Before construction, please ensure that the surface of the cardboard is smooth, clean, and free of any contamination.
When applying paint, standard brushing or roller painting processes should be used to ensure representative test results.
* Pay attention to observe whether the surface "slips" occur during the coating process, which helps to evaluate the application performance of the paint.
* For water-based and solvent-based coatings, but ensure that the type of coating matches the purpose of the test.
* Post-test evaluation should be done through drying and under standard lighting conditions.
The cardboard is a test consumable, please prepare a sufficient quantity according to the test requirements.
* Please keep drying when storing to avoid heavy pressure or bending to prevent damage to the surface characteristics.
