Overview
The LENETA Form P300-4G transparent hiding power card is a colorless and transparent film substrate with a thickness of 100 µm. It is mainly used as a substrate for coating Spreaders to observe the transparent Appearance properties of coatings such as Color, Gloss and transparency. At the same time, the card can be placed on a black and white background to evaluate the hiding power of coatings. In addition, it can also be used as a cover layer to provide protection after scratch drying without blocking the line of sight.
Features
1. Colorless and transparent design, easy to observe the true Appearance of the coating.
2. Can be used as a substrate to evaluate the Color, Gloss and transparency of coatings.
3. Can be combined with black and white background, used to evaluate the hiding power performance of coatings.
4. Can be used as a scraping protective layer after drying without affecting visibility.
5. Uniform specifications, with a size of 76 x 140mm and a thickness of 100µm, making it convenient for standardized operation.
Principle
As a transparent thin film substrate, the product provides a uniform and flat surface of the Spreader for the coating to be tested. After the Spreader, the Appearance characteristics of the coating such as Color, Gloss and Transparency can be directly observed through the transparent card. When it is necessary to evaluate the hiding power, the coated transparent card can be placed on a standard black and white background, and its hiding ability can be judged by comparing the degree of covering of the background by the coating. When used as a cover layer, its transparency characteristics allow the protected area to be clearly observed while drying and scraping under the protection.
Applications
Coating performance test, coating Appearance evaluation, hiding power evaluation, laboratory scratch protection
Standards
The information does not mention the specific standards met.
Steps
1. Prepare LENETA Form P300-4G transparent hiding power card.
2. Spreader the paint to be tested evenly on the surface of the transparent card.
3. Observe the Color, Gloss and transparency of the coating on the transparent card.
4. To test the hiding power, place the coated transparent card on the background of a standard black and white check chart.
5. Compare and observe the covering effect of the coating on the black and white background.
6. If necessary as a protective layer, after scraping and drying, cover the transparent card on it.
Notice
* Make sure the surface of the transparent card is clean and scratch-free before use.
* Spreader coating should be uniform to obtain accurate evaluation results.
* When evaluating hiding power, a standard and contrasting black and white background should be used.
* When used as a cover, make sure that the underlying coating has passed dry.
* Store in a drying, cool place to avoid heavy pressure or bending.
