Overview
The LENETA Form P300-4C transparent hiding power card is a colorless and transparent film substrate with a thickness of 100 µm. It is mainly used as a substrate for coating Spreaders to observe the transparent Appearance properties of coatings such as Color, Gloss and transparency. At the same time, the card can also be placed on a black and white background to evaluate the hiding power of coatings. In addition, it can also act as a cover layer to provide protection after scratch drying without blocking the line of sight.
Features
1. Material transparent: Colorless transparent film, easy to observe the true Appearance of the coating.
2. Versatile functions: It can be used as a Spreader substrate to evaluate Color, Gloss and transparency, or it can be combined with a black and white background to evaluate hiding power.
3. Protective effect: It can be used as a cover layer after drying to protect the scraped sample without affecting the observation.
Specifications are clear: size 194 * 260mm, thickness 100 µm, Encasement 250 sheets/box, easy to use and store.
Principle
The transparent hiding power card is used as the test substrate, and its Working Principle is based on its transparent and coverable properties. When used as a Spreader substrate, the coating is applied directly to the transparent film, and its transparency allows rays of light to pass through, thus accurately displaying the Color, Gloss and transparency of the coating. When hiding power needs to be evaluated, the coated transparent card can be placed on a standard black and white background, and its covering ability can be evaluated by observing the covering of the background Color by the coating. When used as a cover layer, its transparent film material can physically protect the dried scraped sample while ensuring that the sample is clearly visible for subsequent inspection or comparison.
Applications
Coating performance test, coating Appearance evaluation, hiding power evaluation, laboratory scratch sample protection
Standards
The data did not mention specific compliance criteria
Steps
1. As Spreader substrate: Spreader the coating to be tested evenly on the surface of the transparent hiding power card.
2. Observe Transparent Appearance: Under suitable rays of light, directly observe the Color, Gloss and transparency of the coating on the transparent card.
3. Evaluation of hiding power: Spreader's transparent card is placed on a standard black and white contrast background paper to observe the covering effect of the coating on the background color.
4. As a protective cover: After scraping the sample through drying, cover the transparent hiding power card on the surface of the sample to provide protection.
Notice
* Please make sure that the surface of the transparent hiding power card is clean and scratch-free before use, so as not to affect the test results.
* Spreader coating should be uniform to obtain accurate evaluation data.
* For hiding power evaluation, a standard and contrasting black and white background should be used.
* When used as a cover layer, confirm that the sample has passed dry to avoid blocking or damaging the coating.
* The product is made of film, and care should be taken to avoid folding or scratching sharp objects when operating and storing.
Please choose the appropriate test method according to the experimental requirements.
