Overview
ZHY Automatic Scratch meter is a professional test equipment of PUSHEN brand for testing the scratch performance of metal surface coatings. It is suitable for coil paint, tin can inks, metallic paint, automotive surface coatings, etc., as well as Coated steel single coating or composite coating surface scratch performance evaluation.
Features
1. Use the motor drive sample to contact the scratch needle to automatically complete the scratch test.
2. The needle is drawn across the sample and automatically stops after reaching the end point, making it easy to operate.
3. Equipped with a voltmeter to identify whether the scribe is in contact with the metal substrate, and the ammeter shows whether the coating is scratched.
4. Wide load range, from 50g to 2000g, suitable for different testing requirements.
5. The needle traverse speed is stable at 30mm/s to ensure test conformity.
Principle
The instrument uses a 1mm diameter hemispherical scribing needle to slowly touch the surface under test during the test, marking a scratch of about 10cm in length. Depending on the load loaded, different degrees of surface marks to effective penetration can be observed. When the coating is scratched, the ammeter shows that there is current passing through, thus assessing the scratch resistance of the coating.

Steps
Prepare the sample to be tested, ensuring that the size does not exceed 150 x 70mm.
Select the appropriate load weight (range 50~ 2000g).
3. Start the device, and the motor drive sample is gently in contact with the scribe pin.
4. The scribing needle crosses about 10cm on the sample and automatically stops when it reaches the end point.
5. Observe the ammeter display to determine whether the coating is scratched.
Notice
Make sure the surface of the sample is clean before testing, and no impurities can affect the results.
• Load selection should be reasonably set according to the test purpose and coating characteristics.
• Power supply voltage is 220V AC 50Hz to avoid voltage instability.
• The maximum sample size of the equipment is 150 * 70mm, do not use it beyond the limit.
• Regularly check needle abrasion to ensure test accuracy.
