Overview
The NIRUN CAP-2 + PRO cone-plate viscometer is a digital viscosity measurement instrument with a tapered rotor design that supports continuously variable speed from 5 to 1000rpm. The instrument has a wide viscosity measurement range (20cP~ 1500000cP) and has good Measurement accuracy ( +/- 2% F. S) and reproducibility ( +/- 0.5% F. S).

Principle
The cone-plate viscometer works based on the principle of a cone-plate measurement system. The instrument drives a conical rotor to swirl/spin in the sample, and the viscosity value of the sample is calculated by measuring the Tack resistance to the rotor at a specific speed. The continuously variable speed function allows the user to make measurements at different shear rates for more comprehensive rheological data.

Steps
1. Select the appropriate tapered rotor according to the measurement requirements and install it.
2. Place a very small amount of the sample to be tested in the measurement position.
3. Set the required measurement speed through the instrument panel or software (stepless adjustment in the range of 5-1000rpm).
4. Start the measurement, the instrument will automatically read and display the viscosity value.
5. After the measurement is completed, the sample stage and rotor can be easily cleaned.
6. If you need to obtain rheological Linear dispersion, you can connect DV software for data collection and analysis.
Notice
* Please select the appropriate conical rotor according to the estimated viscosity range of the sample.
Make sure the sample volume is minimal and evenly distributed over the measurement area.
* When making accurate measurements, it is recommended to use a dedicated viscosity thermostatic tank to accurately control the sample temperature.
* Power supply voltage of the instrument supports 110V/220V, and input frequency supports 50Hz/60Hz. Please confirm that it matches the local power grid before use.
* Measurement accuracy is recommended to be calibrated regularly with standard oil.
* When cleaning the rotor and sample stage, use a suitable solvent and operate with care.
Optional micro printers, special software and other accessories are available to expand functionality.
