Principle
The pH6231 Portable pH Meter works based on the principle of potentiometry. The instrument uses pH Composite Electrode to measure the potential difference generated by the activity of hydrogen ions in a solution, which is proportional to the pH value of the solution. The built-in microprocessor converts the Electrode signal into a pH reading, and can automatically or manually use the temperature value measured by the built-in temperature sensor for temperature compensation for more accurate measurement results.
Applications
Water quality analysis, environment monitoring, laboratory research, industrial production process control, food and beverage testing, agricultural soil analysis, education and research
Standards
The data did not mention specific compliance criteria.
Steps
1. Turn it on and check the battery level.
2. According to the measurement requirements, select the appropriate pH Electrode and connect it correctly.
3. Electrode immersion in standard buffer solution for calibrating (up to 5 point calibrating).
4. After calibrating, clean Electrode with deionized water and blot dry with filter paper.
5. Immerse the Electrode in the sample to be tested, and record the Measured value after waiting for the reading to stabilize (the reading lock function can be enabled).
6. After the measurement is completed, clean and properly store the Electrode.
7. You can connect the computer through the USB interface and use the supporting software to export the stored measurement data.
Notice
• Do not expose the Electrode to air for a long time, and soak the Electrode in a special protective solution when not in use.
• Before calibrating and measuring, make sure that the standard buffer and the sample temperature are close to each other to reduce temperature errors.
• Counter electrodes are calibrated regularly, and calibrated reminders can be set as needed.
• Electrode cleaning, please use deionized water or distillation water rinse, avoid using paper towels to wipe the Glass film bubble.
• When the instrument is not in use for a long time, please remove the battery.
• Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures, Humidity or corrosion gas environments.
• For High Accuracy measurements, it is recommended to use automatic temperature compensation and ensure that the temperature sensor works properly.
