12. The calibrated reminder function can be set (0-60 days optional).
13. The automatic shutdown function can be set (10 minutes after the default no action).
14. Protection Rating reaches IP67, with good dustproof and waterproof ability.
Principle
The Portable ion meter uses Ion Selective Electrode (ISE) to measure a specific ion activity in a solution and convert it into an electrical signal (mV value). The instrument's internal processor calculates the corresponding Ion concentration value based on calibrated Linear dispersion. At the same time, it integrates pH Electrode and temperature sensors to ensure the accuracy of pH and Ion concentration measurements through automatic or manual temperature compensation.
Applications
Environment monitoring, water quality analysis, food testing, industrial process control, laboratory research, education and research
Steps
Install 2 AA batteries to power the instrument.
2. Set the password, product serial number, user serial number, date format and time system in the settings menu as needed.
3. Select the appropriate Ion Electrode or pH Electrode to connect to the host.
4. Immerse the Electrode into the standard solution, enter the calibrating mode, and perform multi-point calibrating according to the prompts (pH up to 5 points, Ion concentration up to 7 points).
5. After the calibrating is complete, the instrument will display the calibrating results (such as offset and slope).
6. Immerse Electrode into the sample to be tested, the instrument will automatically or manually (depending on the settings) perform temperature compensation and display Measured values (Ion concentration, pH, mV, temperature, etc.).
7. To lock the current reading, use the reading lock function.
8. The measurement data can be automatically stored, and the computer can be connected through the USB interface later, and the supporting software can be used for data collection and management.
Notice
• Please use the specified 1.5V AA battery and pay attention to the battery polarity.
• Make sure the standard solution is fresh and within the valid period before calibrating.
• When measuring, fully immerse the Electrode in the solution and avoid bubbles in the Electrode head.
• The instrument has an IP67 Protection Rating, but it is still necessary to clean the Electrode in time after use, and maintain and store it as required.
• Stability of the measurement environment, set the reading stability conditions reasonably.
• Regularly calibrate the instrument according to the set reminder to ensure Measurement accuracy.
• When not in use for a long time, it is recommended to remove the battery and turn off the instrument.
• When using data collection software, make sure that the computer has the software in the companion CD-ROM installed.
