Overview
QXD-50 Grindometer is a SHIBO brand product, designed according to the standard GB1724-79 issued by the Ministry of Chemical Industry, used for inspection of the fineness of pigments, fillers and impurities in Paints and paint slurries. Measurement results are expressed in microns.
Features
1. The scraper size is 155 x 50 x 12 mm
2. The size of the chute is 13 x 120 mm, and the slope is 1:2000.
3. Drawdown blade size is 68 × 40 × 6 mm
4. High accuracy: the plane straightness of the scraper is 0.003 mm, the plane straightness of the bottom of the chute is 0.003 mm, and the plane straightness of the two edges of the Drawdown blade is 0.002 mm

Principle
Drawdown blade through the fineness of the paints sample to be tested in the chute uniform scraping, paints pigment, filler and impurity particles will be exposed at different depths of the chute, by observing the particles uniformly exposed at the scale line, you can read the particles in paints fineness value.

Steps
1. Wash the scraper and Drawdown blade with gasoline, dry it with cotton yarn, and then wipe it with deerskin
2. Dip the well-mixed paints to be tested with a Glass stick and drop them into the deepest part of the scraper chute
3. Drawdown blades are placed horizontally on the upper end of the scraper so that the edges of the Drawdown blade vertically contact the surface of the scraper
4. Drawdown blade from deep to shallow
5. Observe the scale line where the particles in the tank are evenly exposed within 5 seconds
6. Read this value as the fineness of pigments and other particles in paints
Notice
• Drawdown blades must be thoroughly cleaned with gasoline before use
• After cleaning, dry it with cotton yarn and then wipe it with deerskin.
• The paints should be mixed to the consistency specified in the product standard
• The dripping amount is to the extent that it can fill the chute with a little excess amount
• The scraping operation requires observation within 5 seconds
• Drawdown blades must contact the surface vertically
