Overview
QXD-150 Grindometer is a SHIBO brand product, designed according to the standard GB1724-79 issued by the Ministry of Chemical Industry, used for inspection of the fineness of pigments, fillers and impurities in Paints and paint slurries. Measurement results are expressed in microns.
Features
1. The size of the scraper is 155 × 50 × 12mm, and the size of the chute is 13 × 120mm.
2. QXD-150 model slope is 1.5:1000
3. The scale value is 5 microns
4. Drawdown blade size is 68 × 40 × 6mm long
5. High Accuracy: The plane straightness of the scraper is 0.003 mm, the plane straightness of the bottom of the chute is 0.003 mm, and the plane straightness of the two edges of the Drawdown blade is 0.002 mm
6. Excellent finish: scraper upper plane finish 10, chute bottom surface finish 8, Drawdown blade two knife edge finish 8
Principle
Drawdown blade scraping the sample of paints to be tested on the scraper chute by the fineness meter, so that the paints form a uniform thickness in the chute, and the value is read according to the scale line of the particles uniformly exposed in the groove.
Applications
Paints inspection, paint paste inspection, pigment fineness measurement, filler fineness measurement
Steps
1. Wash the scraper and Drawdown blade with gasoline, dry it with cotton yarn, and then wipe it with deerskin
2. Dip the well-mixed paints to be tested with a Glass stick and drop them into the deepest part of the chute on the scraper
3. Drawdown blades are placed horizontally on the upper end of the scraper with both thumbs, index fingers and middle fingers, so that the edges of the Drawdown blade vertically contact the surface of the scraper
4. Drawdown blade from deep to shallow
5. Observe the scale line at the uniform exposure of particles in the tank within 5 seconds and read the value
Notice
• Drawdown blades must be thoroughly cleaned with gasoline before use
• After cleaning, dry it with cotton yarn and then wipe it with deerskin.
• The amount of paints dripped is to the extent that it can fill the chute with a little excess
• Drawdown blades must contact the surface vertically
• Observe the reading within 5 seconds after scraping
• Drawdown blade operation needs to be pulled from the depth of the chute to the shallow
