Overview
SHIBO QHQ Benchtop Pencil hardness tester is a special instrument for measuring film Hardness, execution standard GB/T6739. Film Hardness directly affects the performance of films such as abrasion resistance, abrasion resistance, etc., and is an important indicator for evaluating coating performance.
Features
1. Adopt four-link mechanism design to ensure that the Nominal Mass acts vertically at the intersection of the pencil lead and the test bench
2. Keep the 45 ° angle between the pencil and the test bench unchanged, and the Test accuracy is high
3. The test bench can be moved horizontally and vertically, making it easy to replace the scratch position
4. Standard 6B-6H a total of 13 pencils, covering the complete range of hardness testing
5. Compact structure, easy operation and easy maintenance
Principle
The instrument is mainly composed of a pencil holder and a test bench. The pencil holder and the column form a four-bar linkage mechanism to ensure that the Nominal Mass acts vertically on the intersection of the pencil lead and the test bench, and keeps the 45 ° angle between the pencil and the test bench unchanged. The test bench fixes the paint sample and drives the sample to move. The pencil draws a trajectory on the test piece, and the film Hardness value is determined by replacing the different Hardness pencil scratches.
Applications
Coating film hardness testing, film performance evaluation
Steps
1. Prepare 120 * 50 * (0.2-0) mm smooth tinplate preparatory film
2. Sharpen the pencil to expose the 5-6mm lead lead, and grind the smooth and sharp end on the sandpaper
3. Insert the pencil into the pencil holder, adjust the position and tighten the screws to fix it.
4. Put in the film test piece and tighten the clamping nut to fix it
5. Adjust the equilibrating hammer to equilibrate the working rod and tighten the stop screw
Step 6 Place weight on pencil holder
7. Release the stop screw to lower the pencil lead to the test piece
8. Turn the handwheel to move the test piece by about 5mm and observe whether the film is scratched
9. Replace pencil and scratch position, repeability test
10. Start with the hardest pencil and find the pencil rating that represents film Hardness
Notice
• The test piece needs to use a smooth tinplate, with a specification of 120 * 50 * (0.2~ 0.3) mm
• Test Ambient Temperature 23 ° C +/- 2 ° C, relative humidity 60%~ 70%
Do not loosen or cut the lead lead when sharpening the pencil
• The end of the pencil needs to be ground with a smooth edge and a sharp end, without crushing or notching
• After a period of use, oil needs to be injected into the rotating parts such as the screw and bearing
• Regularly check the fastening screws and nuts to ensure that they are not loose when tightened
