Overview
The HI93501 is a compact panel-mounted On-Line Continuous Oxidation Reduction (ORP) controller with a Measurement range of +/- 1000mV. The instrument is equipped with a large LCD display with protective cover and backlight, with a single set point and output for oxidation or reduction dosing settings, supports manual two-point calibrating, and provides isolated Analog Output (0-20 mA or 4-20 mA).
Features
1. Compact panel mounting design for easy online continuous monitoring.
2. Equipped with a large LCD display with protective cover and backlight.
3. With a single set point and output, for oxidation or reduction dosing control.
4. Support manual two-point calibrating through the panel.
5. Provide isolated Analog Output (0-20 mA or 4-20 mA).
6. Select manual ON/OFF and automatic Basis Weight control modes.
7. With automatic diagnostic function, it can verify calibrated offset, slope and Electrode contamination or failure.
8. Equipped with a fail-safe alarm system to prevent problems caused by power failures or signal interruptions.
Principle
The instrument continuously detects the Oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) of a solution through a connected ORP Electrode and processes and displays the measured mV signal. The user can set a control point, and the instrument controls external dosing equipment (such as pumps) through its output based on the comparison of the Measured value with the set value to achieve automatic or manual Basis Weight dosing of the oxidation or reduction process. Its automatic diagnostic function monitors the calibrated status and Electrode performance.
Applications
Industrial process control, water treatment, environment monitoring, laboratory analysis
Standards
EN 13485:2001, IP65 waterproof standard
Steps
1. Install and connect ORP Electrode and power supply.
2. Boot, set measurement and control parameters through the panel as needed.
3. Manual two-point calibrating through the panel using standard solution.
4. Set the desired oxidation or reduction control point (set point).
5. Select Control Mode (Manual ON/OFF or Automatic Basis Weight).
6. Connect the instrument output to the dosing device and start continuous monitoring and control.
7. Regularly use the instrument's automatic diagnostic function to check the status.
Notice
• Please make sure to use within the range of Ambient Temperature (-20~ 50 ℃) and Humidity (RH100%) allowed by the instrument.
• When calibrating, use a fresh, accurate standard solution.
• Electrode status is checked regularly to prevent contamination or failure from affecting measurement.
When connecting an external device, note that the type of Output signal (0-20 mA or 4-20 mA) matches the load.
• Pay attention to the automatic shutdown mode setting of the instrument to avoid accidental activation when continuous monitoring is required.
• When maintaining, please follow relevant safety regulations and refer to the user manual.
