Overview
The HI98509 is a High Accuracy thermometer with a CAL Check ™ power-on Self-check function that automatically verifies the calibrated status. The instrument supports a ° C/° F Unit switch, features a clear LCD display, and has an IP65 water resistance rating. It is connected via a 1-meter flexible silicone cable to a sharp, penetrating AISI 316 stainless steel Probe. The Probe uses an NTC thermistor sensor for accurate measurement. It is an ideal tool for HACCP food standards. It is suitable for measuring the temperature of semi-solid products (such as fruits, vegetables, cheese) and liquids, air and other media.

1. High Accuracy measurement: Temperature range -50~ 150 ℃, accuracy of +/- 0.2 ℃ in the range of -30~ 120.0 ℃.

Principle
The instrument senses temperature changes through the NTC thermistor Sensor, and transmits the signal to the host for processing and display. Its core is the CAL Check ™ system, which automatically detects the internal circuit of the instrument at each start-up to verify its calibrated status and ensure the Reliability of the measurement result.

Steps
Install three AAA batteries.
2. Press the power button to start the instrument, the CAL Check ™ system will automatically run and display the status ("-0-" or "Err").
3. Switch the temperature unit (° C/° F) by setting the key as required.
4. Insert or immerse the stainless steel Probe into the medium to be tested.
5. After waiting for the reading to stabilize, read the temperature value from the LCD display.
6. Clean Probe After Use.
7. You can choose the automatic shutdown time (8 minutes, 60 minutes, or disabled) in the settings according to your personal habits.
Notice
• Do not expose the instrument to extreme conditions beyond its Operating Environment (-30~ 50 ° C, RH95%) for extended periods of time.
• When cleaning, please use a soft damp cloth to wipe the main body of the instrument to avoid liquids entering the non-waterproof interface.
• Probe is designed for sharp stainless steel, please pay attention to safety when using it to avoid stab wounds.
• If "Err" is displayed when turned on, it means that the instrument may be faulty. It is recommended to contact a professional to check.
• Regularly check the battery level to ensure measurement accuracy.
• Probe cables should not be bent or pulled too much to prevent damage.
