Overview
The HANNA HI148-3 Thermometer is a waterproof temperature monitoring device designed for dynamics environments. Equipped with both internal and external temperature sensors, it has a built-in Probe Measurement range of -20.0 to 60.0 ° C (-4.0 to 140.0 ° F) and an external Probe Measurement range of -40.0 to 125.0 ° C (-40.0 to 257.0 ° F). The instrument has powerful data logging capabilities, stores up to 16,000 readings in a single channel, and supports user-defined alarm settings. Its IP67 waterproof case and included wall mount make it suitable for a wide range of environments, making it an excellent choice for temperature monitoring in areas such as Food processing, Transportation, Museums and Gardening.
Features
1. Designed for dynamics environments, with wall brackets for easy installation.
2. IP67 waterproof and dustproof shell, strong protection performance.
3. Large clear LCD display, real-time display Measured value and temperature change.
4. A variety of models (including HI148-3) are available, and built-in, external or combined temperature sensors can be selected according to requirements.
5. Users can customize the high and low temperature alarm value, and the panel LED light flashes to prompt.
6. Data storage capability, single channel can store up to 16,000 readings.
7. Multifunctional data logging, capable of recording interval temperature, minimum or maximum temperature values.
8. The recording start time can be delayed and data transmission can be carried out through the optional HI92148 software.
Principle
The HANNA HI148-3 temperature meter senses the Ambient Temperature through a built-in and/or external stainless steel temperature sensor and converts the temperature signal into an electrical signal. The internal circuitry of the instrument processes the signal and displays an accurate temperature reading in real time on a large LCD screen. The user can set the temperature Alarm threshold. When the Measuring temperature exceeds the set range, the LED alarm light on the instrument panel will flash. At the same time, the instrument automatically records the temperature data at a time interval set by the user (1 second to 24 hours), and optionally records the Measuring temperature, MIN Minimum or MAX Maximum. Data storage is in internal memory and can be read later by dedicated software.
Applications
Food processing, transportation, museums, gardening
Standards
IP67 waterproof and dustproof standard
Steps
1. According to the measurement requirements, choose to use the built-in Probe or connect the external Probe.
2. Install 3 AAA batteries to power the instrument.
3. Use the instrument keys to set the desired Temperature Alarm threshold.
4. Set the data recording mode (e.g. Interval recording temperature, Min/MAX Maximum) and recording interval (1 second to 24 hours).
5. You can choose to set the delay time for recording start (1 second to 199 hours).
6. Place the instrument in the environment to be tested or install it through a wall bracket.
7. The instrument starts to automatically measure and record data, which can be viewed in real time through the LCD screen.
8. After the data recording is completed, the data can be exported by connecting to the computer through the optional HI92148 application software.
Notice
• Please make sure to operate within the operating Environment specified by the instrument (-20.0~ 60.0 ℃, RH 100%).
• Note that the Measurement range of the built-in Probe is different from that of the external Probe, so avoid using it in an over-range environment.
Alarm LEDs are visual only and need to be combined with Miscellaneous monitoring in critical applications.
• The data logging function needs to set the recording interval and mode correctly, otherwise the required data may not be obtained.
• When using an external Probe, pay attention to its line length (1 meter) limit.
• Regularly check the battery level to prevent data recording from being interrupted.
• HI92148 application software is optional, if you need data transmission function, please buy it separately.
