The JINGTIAN Small Sample Adapter is an adaptor specially designed for viscosity testing of small samples. It is equipped with one rotor of No. 21, 27, 28, and 29. Principle
The small sample adapter swirls/spins through the sample via a matching dedicated rotor, driven by the rotational viscometer host. Tack resistance to the swirl/spin of the rotor is measured by the Viscometer and converted into viscosity values. The adapter itself acts as a sample container, and its small volume design ensures that a small sample can fully contact the rotor to obtain accurate measurement results. By connecting the external Thermostatic bath circulating liquid, the temperature of the sample can be maintained during the test.

Steps
According to the estimated viscosity range, select the appropriate rotor (21 #, 27 #, 28 #, or 29 #) to install on the Viscometer.
2. Pour 10 to 20 mL of the sample to be tested into the sample cup of a small sample adapter.
3. Slowly lower the Viscometer host with the rotor installed, so that the rotor is immersed in the sample to the specified mark.
4. For temperature control, connect the thermostatic interface of the adapter to the circulation line of the external Thermostatic bath and start the Thermostatic bath.
5. Set parameters on the Viscometer host and start measurement.
6. After the measurement is completed, lift the rotor and remove the adapter components for cleaning.
Notice
• Please ensure that the sample volume is within the recommended range of 10~ 20mL to ensure measurement accuracy.
• Be careful when installing the rotor and immersing the sample to avoid collision damage to the rotor or adapter.
Make sure the adapter is compatible with your Viscometer model (e.g. NDJ-5S, LVDV-1, etc.) before use.
• Please thoroughly remove all residual samples when cleaning to prevent cross-contamination or affect the next measurement.
• For precise temperature control, please ensure that the external Thermostatic bath function is normal and the connection line is well sealed.
