Overview
MC-3000S Coating thickness gauge is a precision measuring instrument introduced by KODIN, which can quickly and non-destructive measurement of coating and platings thickness. The instrument is suitable for laboratories and engineering sites, and can meet a variety of measurement needs by matching different probes. It is widely used in manufacturing, metal processing, chemical industry and commodity inspection.
Features
1. Using magnetic and eddy current thickness measurement methods, the thickness of nonmagnetic coating on magnetic metal substrate and nonconductive coating on nonmagnetic metal substrate can be nondestructive measurement.
6 types of probes (F0.5, F1.2, F3, F5, F10, N1.2) can be used.
3. With temperature compensation function, equipped with Kedian's new "phase-locked loop" technology.
4. With screen flip function, you can manually select flip to display measurement data.
5. Measurement speed can choose two modes of single measurement and continuous measurement.
6. Three methods can be used to calibrate the instrument, and the basic calibrating method can be used to correct the system error of the probe.
7. With storage function, it can store more than 10,000 measurement points.
8. With deletion function, suspicious data or all stored data in the storage group can be deleted.
9. The limit can be set, and the Measured value outside the limit can be automatically alarmed.
10. With printing function, you can connect a Bluetooth printer to print measurement data.
11. With Bluetooth 2.0 data connection function, it can communicate wirelessly with computers and printers.

Principle
MC-3000S Coating thickness gauge works based on magnetic Induction and eddy current. For the nonmagnetic coating on the magnetic metal substrate, the magnetic method is used for measurement; for the nonconductive coating on the nonmagnetic metal substrate, the eddy current method is used for measurement, so as to achieve nondestructive and precise thickness detection.

Steps
1. Select the appropriate probe according to the measurement substrate and coating type.
2. Turn it on and select Measurement mode (such as lite mode, monitoring mode, etc.) as needed.
3. Use one of the three calibration methods to calibrate the instrument and correct the probe system error if necessary.
4. Place the probe smoothly on the surface of the coating to be tested for measurement, and choose single or continuous measurement.
5. The measurement data can be stored, deleted or printed by a Bluetooth-connected printer.
6. After the measurement is completed, you can choose to shut down manually or wait for automatic shutdown.
Notice
• Instrument Ambient Temperature -10 ℃ to + 40 ℃, relative humidity ≤ 90% RH.
• Make sure that the probe is in smooth contact with the coating surface during measurement to obtain accurate readings.
• Pay attention to the power undervoltage indication and replace the battery in time to ensure the Measurement accuracy.
• According to the curvature radius of the measured piece (concave radius ≥ 10mm, convex radius ≥ 5mm) and the minimum measurement surface (φ 20mm) requirements for measurement.
• When using the Bluetooth function, please ensure that it is within the effective communication range and the pairing is successful.
• When not in use for a long time, it is recommended to remove the battery.
