Overview
The DONGRU DR220 Coating thickness gauge is an integrated cladding thickness gauge with built-in Probe and magnetic thickness measurement method. It provides accurate and reliable measurement data for nondestructive measurement of film thickness of nonmagnetic coatings (e.g. paints, platings) on magnetic metal substrates (e.g. steel, iron, nickel). The instrument case is made of yellow hard plastic, which is resistant to impact, and is compact and portable for quick measurement on the production line or in the field. It can measure substrates as thin as 0.4mm.
Features
1. Small integrated design, easy to carry.
2. Easy to operate and fast to test.
3. Provide continuous test (CONTINUE) and single (SINGLE) two measurement methods.
4. With four statistical functions: MAX Maximum (MAX), MIN Minimum (MIN), Average (MEA), measurement times.
5. 116 measurement data can be stored.
6. You can connect to a computer for communication and read out stored data for saving or printing.
7. Support zero-point calibrating and two-point calibrating.
8. There is a beep prompt in the single measurement mode.
9. With low voltage indication function.
10. With manual/automatic shutdown function.
11. Portable, integrated, intelligent digital display and other features in one.
Principle
DR220 Coating thickness gauge uses magnetic thickness measurement method (magnetic Induction principle), through the built-in magnetic Probe, nondestructive measurement of magnetic metal substrate surface nonmagnetic coating Film thickness.
Applications
Manufacturing, metal processing, chemical industry, commodity inspection and other testing fields
Steps
1. Press the ON/OFF switch button, after the buzzer, the display screen displays the battery sign and the initial value of 0 measurement, and the instrument enters the automatic measurement state.
2. Pinch the sinkage position of the instrument with the thumb and index finger, press the Probe vertically and quickly on the tested workpiece, and the instrument automatically measures and displays the coating thickness value.
Notice
• When measuring, the Probe needs to be perpendicular and quickly pressed on the surface of the workpiece to be tested.
The instrument is suitable for the measurement of nonmagnetic coatings on magnetic metal substrates.
• The thinnest measurement substrate can reach 0.4mm.
• Pay attention to the low voltage prompt of the instrument and replace the battery in time.
• The instrument has a manual/automatic shutdown function to save power.
• Ambient Temperature 0~ 50 ℃, relative humidity 20~ 90% RH.
• The minimum measurement surface is 10 * 10mm.
• Suitable for workpieces with a minimum radius of curvature of 5mm on convex surfaces and 25mm on concave surfaces.
