Overview
The LANDTEK TM-8818 Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge (Enhanced) is a precision measuring instrument with high-performance microprocessor technology for thickness measurement of various metallic and Non-metallic materials. The instrument has a bi-directional measurement function and supports mutual measurement of material Speed of sound and thickness.

Principle
The thickness gauge is based on the principle of ultrasonic propagation. It emits ultrasonic waves to the measured material through Probe, and measures the time for ultrasonic waves to propagate in the material to calculate the thickness. The instrument supports two-way Measurement mode, which can calculate the thickness according to the known Speed of sound, or calculate the material Speed of sound according to the known thickness.

Steps
1. Install 2 AA batteries
2. Select the Probe Connection Instrument
3. Power on and set material parameters
4. Apply coupling agent to the measurement surface
5. Probe fitted to the measured surface for measurement
6. Read the measurement results on the display
7. Data output via USB, RS-232C or Bluetooth
8. Manual shutdown or wait for automatic shutdown after use
Notice
* Ambient Temperature should be kept in the range of 0~ 40 ℃
* Working environment relative humidity should be less than 85% RH
* Probe is well coupled to the measured surface before measurement
* Select the appropriate Probe according to the tested material
* Regularly check battery level to ensure Measurement accuracy
* Keep the instrument clean and drying to avoid violent vibration
* Pipe measurement should pay attention to the minimum measurement specifications
