Overview
WGG60S Glossiness Meter is a precision measuring instrument under the QIWEI brand, specially designed for the measurement of surface Glossiness of various materials. The instrument is manufactured according to the international standard ISO-1813 and the national standard GB/T 9754. Its process parameters meet a number of domestic and foreign standards, and the technical indicators meet the requirements of the national Measurement verification regulations. It is suitable for a wide range of industrial and material testing fields.
Features
1. Comply with a number of international and national standards, such as ISO-2813, GB/T 9754, ASTM D2457, etc.
2. Using 60 ° Standard Measurement Angles, Measurement range is wide, up to 0~ 150.0GU.
3. Instrument Indication Error Small (+/- 1.2GU), Stability High (0.4GU), Measurement accuracy is reliable.
4. Compact and lightweight design, Dimension 129 * 45 * 73mm, weight only 0.3kg, easy to carry and field operation.
5. Powered by AA battery, convenient battery life.
Principle
The Glossiness Meter emits a specific angle of ray of light to the surface under test and receives the reflected light intensity in the mirror reflection direction. The photoelectric Sensor inside the instrument converts the received optical signal into an electrical signal, and after processing and calculating, it displays the specular gloss value of the measured surface in Glossiness units (GU). Its 60 ° measurement angle is a common standard angle for evaluating the Glossiness of most material surfaces.
Applications
Surface gloss measurement of coatings, baking paints, inks, coatings, etc., surface gloss measurement of building decoration materials such as ceramic tiles, Stone, etc., bamboo, paper, plastic surface gloss measurement, Non-metallic and metal surface gloss measurement
Standards
ISO-2813、GB/T 9754、ASTM D2457、ASTM D523、GB/T13891、GB/T 7706、GB/T 8807、JJG 696
Steps
1. Make sure the instrument is fully charged and load two AA batteries.
2. Start the machine to warm up and calibrate according to needs or standard requirements (using standard plates).
3. Fit the instrument measurement port smoothly and tightly on the surface of the tested sample.
4. Trigger the measurement and record the Glossiness Value (GU) after the reading has stabilized.
5. After the measurement is completed, turn off the power.
Notice
* Before measurement, make sure that the instrument has been correctly calibrated to ensure measurement accuracy.
* When measuring, keep the instrument measurement port in close and smooth contact with the measured surface to avoid light leakage.
The measured surface should be clean, flat and scratch-free to ensure that the measurement results represent its true Gloss.
* Avoid using and storing the instrument in a strong magnetic field, strong vibration or extreme temperature Humidity environment.
* Regularly check instrument status using standard boards and perform periodic verification according to Measurement Procedures.
When not in use for a long time, please remove the battery.
