Overview
QIWEI BSD-500 Portable Colorimeter is a measuring instrument calibrated with platinum-cobalt chroma standard solution and "degree" as the unit of colorimeter. It can be widely used in chroma determination in power plants, pure water plants, water plants, domestic sewage treatment plants, beverage plants, environmental protection departments, industrial water, wine industries and other sectors to help meet the specified water quality standards.

Principle
The instrument uses platinum-cobalt standard Colorimetry for measurement. Colorimetric testing of the water sample with a standard platinum-cobalt chroma solution determines the chromatic value of the water sample. Measurement is performed in "degrees".

Platinum-Cobalt Colorimetry
Steps
1. Ensure that the instrument is placed horizontally on a stable test bench, avoiding direct Illuminants.
2. Connect AC 220V/50HZ power supply.
3. Calibrate with platinum-cobalt chroma standard solution according to the instrument instructions.
4. Put the water sample to be tested into the instrument for Colorimetric measurement.
5. Read and record chromatic values.
Notice
• Ambient Temperature should be between 5 and 35 ℃, storage temperature is -20~ 55 ℃.
• Environmental humidity should not exceed 80% RH.
• The instrument should use an AC 220V 50Hz power supply.
• The instrument should be placed horizontally on a stable laboratory bench, effectively avoiding direct Illuminants, and without strong magnetic interference and strong vibration sources.
• There should be no obvious dust and corrosion gas in the surrounding air.
