Overview
The DONGRU DR270 Coating thickness gauge is a digital display eddy current thickness gauge designed with split Probe, which connects the Probe to the host through a connecting cable for easy measurement of coating thickness over long distances. The instrument has high Sensitivity and uses high-quality components to ensure stable and accurate measurement. The DR270 has data storage function and can be connected to the printer output data for easy follow-up management. It is based on the principle of eddy current thickness measurement, which can realize nondestructive measurement of nonconductive coating thickness on nonmagnetic metal substrates such as aluminum, copper, and stainless steel.
Features
1. Simple operation, fast test speed, Sensitivity, high measurement accuracy.
2. Mass storage, can store more than 800 measurement data.
3. Provide continuous (CONTINUE) and single (SINGLE) two measurement methods.
4. There are four statistical functions: MAX Maximum (MAX), MIN Minimum (MIN), Average (MEA), and Number of measurements (No).
5. There is a beep during the operation (single measurement mode).
6. Automatic identification of ferrous and non-ferrous substrates.
7. Support metric-to-metric conversion (μm/Mil).
8. Large screen backlight display, low voltage indication.
9. With manual/automatic shutdown function.
10. It can be connected to a computer for communication and read stored data (suitable for U-shaped hosts).
11. Support zero-point calibrating and two-point calibrating.
Principle
The DONGRU DR270 Coating thickness gauge uses the principle of eddy Current thickness measurement. When the Probe is close to the nonmagnetic metal substrate (such as aluminum, copper, stainless steel) under the tested coating, the alternating magnetic field generated by the Probe will induce eddy current in the substrate, and the eddy current effect will react to the Probe. By measuring changes in Probe parameters, the instrument can nondestructive calculate the film thickness of nonconductive coatings (such as paints, powders, rubbers, etc.) on the substrate.
Applications
Paints, Powder, Rubber, Electrophoresis, Anticorrosive layer, enamel, enamel and other coating thickness measurement
Steps
1. Install the battery and press the "ON/OFF" button to turn it on. After the beep, the LCD screen will display "0".
2. The instrument automatically enters the measurement state and presses the probe vertically and quickly onto the coated platings on the surface of the workpiece.
3. The instrument automatically measures and displays the coating thickness value (pay attention to keep the probe vertical during measurement).
Notice
Storage temperature: 0 ℃~ 40 ℃, relative humidity ≤ 85%.
When not in use, remove the battery and clean the probe and diaphragm regularly.
• Please stay away from strong electromagnetic fields, oil, heavy dust and humid environments.
As a precision instrument, it is necessary to prevent collisions.
• Be sure to keep the probe vertical during measurement.
