Overview
The LM-5 dark field luminance meter is a precision measuring instrument under the EVERFINE brand, designed for weak luminance testing in dark field conditions of monitors. It can be widely used in display HDR performance evaluation, OLED limit black luminance, peak luminance and photoelectric conversion performance EOTF measurement. When used with a signal generator, it can meet the rigorous testing requirements of high dynamic range display technology.
Features
1. High Accuracy measurement: Using high stability detector, its Light spectrum Response Linear dispersion is strictly matched with standard CIE V (lambda) Linear dispersion, with high matching accuracy to ensure the accuracy of measurement results.
2. Very low luminance measurement: It can realize extremely weak luminance test as low as 0.00001cd/m ², and the performance is higher than the national standard requirements, providing a wider HDR dynamic range test capability.
3. Multi-field of view angle switching: Support 2 °, 1 °, 0.2 °, 0.1 ° multi-field of view angle switching, which can not only measure small light emitters such as indicator lights and instrument panels, but also apply to outdoor LED displays and other large-size light emitters measurement.
4. Data storage function: Support offline measurement, and can store and transfer up to 512 test results to the computer, which is convenient for data management and analysis.
Principle
The LM-5 dark field luminance meter receives the optical signal from the object under test through its highly stable detector. The detector's Light spectrum Response is precisely calibrated to match the standard human visual function CIE V (lambda) Linear dispersion, thus converting the optical signal into an accurate electrical signal. The internal circuitry of the instrument processes and calculates the electrical signal, and finally gives the luminance value in cd/m ² on the display screen or through data transmission. Its multi-field angle Optical inspection system allows the user to select the appropriate measurement range according to the size of the object under test, ensuring the accuracy and suitability of the measurement.
Applications
Display dark field weak luminance test, display HDR performance evaluation, OLED limit black luminance measurement, peak luminance measurement, photoelectric conversion performance EOTF measurement, indicator luminance measurement, instrument panel luminance measurement, outdoor LED display luminance measurement
Steps
1. Choose the appropriate measurement field of view (2 °, 1 °, 0.2 ° or 0.1 °) according to the size of the measured target.
2. Align the luminance meter to the light-emitting area to be measured to ensure that the measurement light path is unobstructed.
3. Trigger the measurement and the instrument will display the current luminance value.
4. If offline measurement is required, multiple measurements can be made without computer connection, and the data will be automatically stored (up to 512 groups).
5. After the measurement is completed, connect the instrument to the computer through the data cable to transmit the stored measurement results for further analysis.
Notice
* Before measurement, please select the appropriate field of view according to the size of the target to ensure measurement accuracy.
* In very low luminance (such as 0.00001cd/m ²) measurement, it is necessary to ensure that the test environment is dark field conditions to avoid environment stray light interference.
* Instrument detector precision, please avoid impact, contamination Optical inspection window.
* When making offline measurements, pay attention to the internal storage capacity of the instrument and export the data in time to prevent overwriting.
When working with a signal generator for complex tests such as HDR, make sure the connection and settings are correct.
