Overview
The EVERFINE U-10 UV index measurement instrument is used for the evaluation of UV index, which meets the requirements of CIE S013/E: 2003 standard. The Light spectrum Sensitivity of its detector meets the requirements of CIE S007 Erythema Effect Light spectrum Response Linear dispersion.
Features
1. Accurately match the CIE erythema effect Linear dispersion, with high measurement accuracy.
2. It can measure various parameters such as UV index, UV weighted irradiance, irradiance difference, irradiance ratio, integration time, integrated irradiance (irradiance or exposure), average irradiance and so on.
3. The measurement accuracy is up to +/- 5% (relative to the National Institute of Measurement NIM or the US NIST standard).
4. Optional SUVI-B and SUVI-P detectors to achieve different ranges and meet different precision requirements.
Principle
The instrument receives ultraviolet radiation in the 280nm-400nm band through a built-in detector (SUVI-B or SUVI-P). Its Light spectrum Sensitivity is specially designed to accurately match the CIE S007 Erythema Effect Light spectrum Response Linear dispersion. The detector converts the optical signal into an electrical signal, which is processed and calculated by the internal circuit of the instrument, and finally obtains the UV index and related irradiance parameters in accordance with the CIE S013/E: 2003 standard.
Applications
UV index evaluation, environment monitoring, meteorological observation, occupational health protection, outdoor activity safety guidance, material aging research
Standards
CIE S013/E:2003、CIE S007
Steps
1. Select the appropriate detector (SUVI-B or SUVI-P) according to the measurement requirements and install it on the host.
2. Turn on the power supply of the instrument, preheat and self-test.
3. Aim the detector Probe at the Illuminant or environment to ensure that the receiving surface is unobstructed.
4. Select the parameters to be measured (such as UV index, irradiance, etc.) on the instrument operation interface.
5. Start the measurement and read the stabilized data.
6. After the measurement is completed, the data can be recorded or exported.
7. Turn off the power of the instrument and store it properly.
Notice
• Please read the manual carefully before use to ensure correct operation.
• Select the appropriate detector according to the measurement range (SUVI-B: 0.1UVI - 100UVI; SUVI-P: 0.01UVI - 50UVI) and accuracy requirements.
• Avoid severe vibration, impact, or contact with corrosive substances.
• Make sure that the receiving surface of the detector is clean during measurement, and there is no obstruction to affect the measurement accuracy.
Instruments should be calibrated regularly to ensure measurement accuracy of +/- 5%.
Do not use the instrument beyond the specified environmental conditions (e.g. temperature, humidity).
• When not in use for a long time, please store the instrument in a drying and cool place.
