Overview
SHIBO QBJ Cupping tester is designed and manufactured according to international standard ISO1520 and national standard GB9753-88. It is suitable for evaluating coatings (single-layer or supporting system coatings) of Paints, varnishes and related products under the experimental methods specified in the standard. The anti-cracking or anti-separation performance of the coating from the metal substrate is evaluated by gradual deformation, and the minimum depth at which the coating just cracks or begins to break away from the substrate can also be determined.

Principle
The tester applies pressure to the coating test piece through the punch to gradually deform it, and accurately measures the depth of indentation through the digital display system. Under the standard experimental method, the coating is observed to see if it is cracked or separated from the substrate to evaluate the anti-cracking or anti-separation performance of the coating. During the test, the punch rises at a constant speed, and the depth of indentation is displayed in real time to ensure that the test process is controllable.

Steps
1. Test strip preparation: prepare a polished steel plate test strip with a size of 70mm * 70mm * 0.3mm~ 1.25mm, according to the standard requirements Preparative coating, measurement Film thickness after drying, at temperature 23 +/- 2 ° C, relative humidity 50 +/- 5% environment state adjustment for at least 16 hours
2. Single top coating laminate test: turn the handwheel clockwise to the bottom, loosen the pressing device, insert the test piece (metal face down, coating face up), fasten the device, press the clear button, turn the hand wheel counterclockwise at a speed of 0.2 +/- 0.1mm/s, the punch will automatically display the zero point after touching the test plate, and continue to turn the handwheel to read the depression depth
3. Double top coating laminate test: turn the handwheel clockwise to the end, loosen the pressing device, insert the zeroing steel plate, tighten the device, press the clear button, turn the hand wheel counterclockwise until the red light is on and the display is zero, loosen the device, manually clear, and rotate the handwheel at a speed of 0.2 +/- 0.1mm/s to read the depression depth
4. Check the coating: check whether the coating is cracked or separated with corrected vision or 10x magnifying glass
5. Sexual repeability test: carried out on two test pieces, if the results are different, the supplementary test is consistent, if the substrate crazing, the results are invalid
Notice
• The test piece should be flat without deformation, and the material meets the requirements of GB9271
Adjust in a standard environment for at least 16 hours before the test
• Control the speed of the handwheel to 0.2 +/- 0.1mm/s to avoid being too fast or too slow
• The handwheel is irreversible during the test, otherwise the reading will be inaccurate
• Double top coating laminate test requires manual zero adjustment using zero steel plate
• Check coatings with vision correction or 10x magnifying glasses for accuracy
• If the substrate is crazing, the experimental results are invalid
The test should be conducted on two test pieces, and additional tests are required if the results are inconsistent
