Overview
MA6 Portable Glossiness Meter is a gloss measurement instrument under the JND brand, designed and manufactured with reference to international standards ISO 2813 and Chinese national standards GB/T13891. Its technical parameters comply with ASTM D2457 and ASTM D523 standards, and its performance indicators meet the requirements of the second-level working machine in the national Measurement verification regulations JJG 696-2002. Principle
The Glossiness Meter works on the principle of mirror reflection. The instrument projects a beam of light to the measured surface at a 60 ° incident angle, measures the luminous flux in the direction of mirror reflection, and calculates and displays the gloss value (GU) of the measured surface by the ratio of the luminous flux reflected by the standard plate.

Steps
1. When turned on, the instrument is automatically calibrated.
2. Fit the instrument probe smoothly to the surface of the tested object.
3. Press the measurement button to read and record the gloss value on the display.
Notice
• Make sure the instrument is properly turned on and self-calibrated before measurement.
• During measurement, the soft surface of the elliptical angle of the probe should be smoothly and tightly fitted to the tested surface to avoid tilt or gap.
• Keep the standard calibration plate clean and avoid scratches to ensure calibrating accuracy.
• The instrument is designed with a nonconductive housing, but it is still necessary to avoid use in extremely humid or conductive dust environments.
• Please use a AA (No. 5) rechargeable or alkaline battery with specifications of 1.2~ 1.5V.
• When not in use for a long time, please remove the battery.
