Overview
The LEEB leeb271 Coating thickness gauge is a High Accuracy measuring instrument that enables fast, non-destructive and precise measurement of the thickness of coatings or platings. It is suitable for laboratories and engineering sites, and can meet a variety of measurement needs by changing different probes. The instrument is widely used in manufacturing, metalworking, chemical industry, commodity inspection and other fields, and is an essential tool for material protection professionals.
Features
1. Full Chinese menu interface operation, simple and convenient.
2. Using eddy current thickness measurement method, nondestructive measurement nonmagnetic metal substrate (such as aluminum, copper, zinc, tin) on the rubber, plastic, paints, oxide film Coating thickness.
3. Measurement modes of continuous measurement and single measurement.
4. It has two working modes: direct mode and group mode.
5. There are five statistics: average, MAX Maximum, MIN Minimum, number of tests, and Standard Deviation.
6. Calibration methods are supported, including basic zero correction and five-piece calibrating to correct system errors.
7. With storage function, it can store 4 types of artifacts, each of 26 groups, each group of 15 Measured values, a total of 1560 Measured values.
8. With deletion function, it can delete a single suspicious data or all data in the storage area.
9. Limit can be set. Measured value will be alarmed automatically.
10. There is a beep prompt during the operation.
11. Equipped with high-brightness LED backlight display, it is convenient to use in the gray environment of light rays.
12. There are two shutdown methods: manual shutdown and automatic shutdown.
Principle
The LEEB leeb271 Coating thickness gauge uses the eddy Current thickness measurement principle for measurement. This principle uses the high-frequency electromagnetic field generated by the Probe to induce the eddy current in the nonmagnetic metal substrate. The thickness of the nonconductive coating layer on the substrate is accurately calculated by measuring the Probe Impedance change caused by the eddy current effect.
Applications
Manufacturing, metal processing, chemical industry, commodity inspection
Standards
GB/T 4957-1985 Nonconductive coating thickness measurement on nonmagnetic metal substrates, eddy current method, JB/T 8393-1996 eddy current coating thickness measurement instrument, JJG818-93 "eddy Current thickness gauge"
Steps
1. Turn on and select Measurement mode (continuous or single).
2. Select the working method (direct or group).
3. According to the measurement needs, calibrate the instrument with standard test pieces.
4. Place the Probe vertically on the surface of the workpiece to be tested for measurement.
5. View and record measurement results and statistics.
6. Optional measurement Data storage or deletion.
7. After the measurement is completed, you can choose to shut down manually or wait for automatic shutdown.
Notice
• Make sure the instrument is properly calibrated before measurement.
• Probes need to be in vertical and stable contact with the tested surface.
The minimum plane diameter of the measured area should not be less than 7 mm.
• When measuring the curved surface, pay attention to the minimum radius of curvature requirements (convex 1.5mm, concave 9mm).
• The thinnest thickness of the substrate should not be less than 0.5mm.
• Please use within the range of Ambient Temperature (0~ 40 ℃) and Humidity (20~ 90% RH) specified by the instrument.
• Pay attention to the battery level and replace it in time to ensure Measurement accuracy.
When storing data, please pay attention to classification to avoid data confusion.
• For measurement results that exceed the set limit, the instrument will alarm and prompt, and attention needs to be paid.
