Overview
ERICHSEN ERICHSEN243/II-6mm viscosity cup is a simple and fast measuring instrument for liquid consistency. It is suitable for low viscosity newtonian fluids, but not for high viscosity substances such as Stock. The cup body is made of anodic oxidation aluminum, Nozzle is stainless steel, and is designed according to DIN 53211.
Features
1. Use anodic oxidation aluminum cup and stainless steel Nozzle to ensure durability
2. Simple and fast operation, suitable for laboratory and production site use
3. Designed for low viscosity newtonian fluids
4. Manufactured according to DIN 53211 standard
5. Flow hole diameter 6mm, viscosity measurement range 300-1200mm ²/s
Principle
Liquid viscosity is determined by measuring the time required for a specific volume of fluid to flow out of a standard aperture cup. Fluids flow out of a standard aperture under gravity, and the outflow time is proportional to the fluid viscosity.
Applications
Laboratory, production site
Standards
Approximate DIN 53211
Steps
Step 1 Adjust the level with a level
2. Place the viscosity cup on the test rack or in the thermostatic pool
Step 3 Close the mouthpiece
Step 4 Fill with fluid
5. Scrape the glass plate along the edge of the viscosity cup, scrape off the excess fluid, and cover the Glass plate on the viscosity cup
Step 6 Open the nozzle
7. Glass plate drawn along the horizontal, while starting the stopwatch
8. When the fluid stops flowing for the first time, stop the stopwatch and record the time
Notice
• Only for low viscosity liquids, not for high viscosity substances such as Stocks
Accurate results in liquids with Newtonian behavior
• The viscosity cup is only calibrated within the specified range and at the specified time
• For detailed operation, please refer to the relevant standard instructions
