Overview
PUSHEN GJ-2 (2.0-2 mm) ground Glass beads are colorless, transparent, smooth, uniform-sized spheres made of Sodium Calcium Glass or Borosilicate Glass with high Hardness, wear resistance, and good chemical Stability. It is widely used as a dispersant, grinding medium and filling material in dyestuff, paints, inks, chemical industries, etc. It is also suitable for grinding medium and low viscosity materials or as shot peening beads.
Features
1. Appearance smooth and round, colorless and transparent, no obvious bubbles or impurities.
2. High rounding rate, ≥ 80%.
3. Hardness, Mohs Hardness 6-7, microhardness ≥ 680kg/mm ².
4. Wear resistance, compressire strength > 1200N.
5. Good Chemical Stability, pH value = 7.2.
Good toughness and moderate density (2.4-2 g/cm ³).
7. Uniform specifications, for the 2.0-2. 5mm.
Principle
Grinding Glass beads are used as a grinding medium to move with the material at high speed in grinding equipment (such as sand mills). Through the collision, extrusion and shearing between the beads and the inner wall of the equipment and the material particles, the agglomerated particles in the material are broken up and ground, so as to achieve efficient dispersion and grinding effects. Its high Hardness and Abrasion Resistance ensure stable grinding efficiency under long working hours.
Applications
Dyestuffs, paints, inks, dispersants for the chemical industry, grinding media, filling materials, shot peening beads
Steps
1. According to the viscosity and characteristics of the material to be ground, choose the appropriate grinding equipment (such as sand mill).
2. Add the grinding Glass beads to the grinding cavity together with the material according to the equipment requirements.
3. Start the equipment and disperse the ground at the set Rotation speed.
4. After the grinding is completed, Glass beads are separated from the finished material by filtrating or separating device.
5. Wash and recycle Glass Beads for next use.
Notice
• Check Glass beads for damage before use to avoid crazing beads.
• Select the appropriate bead size and filling amount according to the material characteristics.
• Ensure that the equipment is well sealed during operation to prevent beads from leaking.
• Pay attention to control the temperature and pressure during the grinding process to avoid crushing the beads due to overheating or high pressure.
• Appropriate sieve or magnetic separation device should be used when separating beads to ensure complete separation.
• Beads are fragile and should be handled and stored to avoid violent collisions.
• After use, it should be cleaned in time to keep the surface of the beads clean, so as not to affect the effect of next use.
