Overview
The NDJ-1 Rotational Viscometer is a Dial viscosity measurement instrument from the PUSHEN brand for the measurement of Tack Resistance and Absolute Viscosity of liquids. It is widely used to determine the viscosity of various fluids such as oils, paints, food, Adhesives, etc.
Features
1. Adopt gear system and clutch for speed change, operate through special swirl/spin knob, provide four-speed Rotation speed selection.
2. Equipped with five kinds of rotors from 0 to 4, which can be selected according to the viscosity of the measured liquid and the Rotation speed.
3. Equipped with a pointer fixing control mechanism for accurate readings at high speed swirling/spinning.
4. Equipped with a protective frame to stabilize the measurement and protect the rotor to ensure stable measurement results; the yellow protective ring can protect the instrument shaft connecting rod.
5. Flexible design, both portable and equipped with a fixed bracket and lifting mechanism, suitable for fixed use in laboratories.
Principle
The Viscometer measures the viscosity by the Tack resistance of the rotor when swirling/spinning in the liquid. The user selects the appropriate combination of rotor and Rotation speed according to the viscosity of the measured liquid. The resistance generated by the swirl/spin of the rotor deflects the pointer. The absolute viscosity of the liquid can be calculated by reading the pointer's indication on the dial and combining the rotor and Rotation speed coefficients.
Applications
Oils, paints, food, Adhesives
Standards
GB2794、ISO 2884-2、ISO 2555、ASTM D2196
Steps
1. According to the estimated viscosity of the measured liquid, choose the appropriate combination of rotor and Rotation speed.
2. Install the selected rotor and immerse the instrument (or rotor) in the liquid to be measured to the specified mark.
3. Turn on the power so that the rotor swirls/spins at the selected Rotation speed.
4. After the pointer is stable, if the Rotation speed is fast (30 rpm, 60 rpm), you can press the pointer lever to fix the pointer for reading.
5. According to the reading, the rotor number and Rotation speed used, refer to the instrument manual to calculate or look up the table to obtain the viscosity value.
Notice
• Using the protective frame for measurement can achieve more stable measurement results.
• The yellow protective ring is used to protect the instrument shaft connecting rod, please do not disassemble it at will.
• The instrument should be used under the allowable working environment (temperature 5~ 35 ℃, relative humidity ≤ 80%).
• Power supply voltage is 220V +/- 10% and Frequency is 50Hz +/- 0.5Hz.
• When conducting small and constant temperature measurements in the laboratory, it is recommended to use a fixed bracket and a lifting mechanism to fix the instrument.
